Looking for a Thai server

It costs less than $30 a year, which I use to set up a VPN. The configuration requirement is 1H 1G 1T, or even less.

good luck. International bandwidth is limited in Thai VPS servers. Limited in Mbps, which is even worse. Lightnode vps is only 100 mbps port at 1Tb. Tencent cloud razor speed is 200 mbps but it is shared, and they don't guarantee 200 mbps, and both are outside of your 30$ a year requirement.

You could get a singapore vps and hit great speeds, not sure about 30$ a year though.

I currently have a server in Thailand, but it isn't performing well and is about to expire, so I want to switch to a different provider.

Are you 100% sure that server actually is in Thailand? Going by the pings it looks to be closer to HK/SG/MY.

Try ReadyIDC, Inspace.cloud, and Bangmod Cloud.

  • Not used them, but rise guys > @nick_ said:

Was gonna suggest readyIDC until I saw the budget. Think it will need to double

Go with pro of 1y @ 10 USD or 30 USD
    https://www.tencentcloud.com/act/pro/lighthouse

They offer servers in Thailand - Bangkok.

with very low port speed. price is great though.

I am getting over 10 MB/s minimum peaking up to 18 MB/s. So, the bandwidth is currently free, I guess.

    MB/s or Mbps? There's a factor of 8 difference.

for the cheap plan (not razorspeed) - tencent cloud says 20Mbps or so, did they forget to cap speed or what?

Perhaps the node's available bandwidth isn't saturated at the moment? Maybe there is plenty available for free?

could be but why they say peak bw 20 Mbps for the cheap plan I wonder? it is 10.08 USD / Year for first year for new accounts (with 0.5TB bw limit) which is a steal for 2cpu 2gb ram vps.

  • today i am looking for a thai curry for lunch

Not a steal if you see the renewal pricing, I will switch to Razor Speed VPS @ 5.6 USD/month with 200 Mbit/s unmetered bandwidth if everything goes well for about 11 months.

I couldn't resist 10.08 usd/year (1st year) plan - but it is really capped at 20Mibs for outbound.

I tested iperf3 and I can receive 20Mbps (more like 18-19) from vps, and I can send 200Mbps burst but then it is capped to near 100 Mbps.

This is within thailand. This may be ok for running a small website or openclaw / hermes but definitely not enough for personal proxy/vpn. Razorspeed should be better - though it is against their TOS. I wouldn't pay for a year for it ;)

Small use cases are fine like IRC bouncer, secondary/slave DNS etc. But with this kind of renewal price, you tend to move to their more mature and stable Razor Speed plan.

For trial run with an Asian provider and location in Asia like Bangkok etc, this is very good plan @ 10.08 USD/first year.
