AU/NZ High-Bandwidth VPS
Hello good people of LET. Hopefully there are some okay deals left in these trying times:
- Located in AU/NZ (other locations in SE Asia also OK but not ideal)
- Good price/bandwidth/speed ratio, ideally unlimited bandwidth
- Not-terrible peering to the US
- Not-terrible price per month
My workload is very net I/O bound, so total bandwidth limit > speed >>> everything else. Thanks!

Voyager do unmetered on their entire range in Auckland
@Zappie is also pretty good and got me essentially unlimited traffic on a dedicated server in Auckland too, and finally
Quic which is really just Vetta wearing new clothes also does compute with unmetered on a 2Gbit port. Not entirely sure where they're hosted but I know they've got hardware in Christchurch and Auckland

If you choose Quic, I’ve got a referral you can use that gives me $50(think it works also for compute).

as you should know yourself around NZ: does Voyager uses the same DC than Zappie? Need a NZ provider that is not Zappie (they are great but need to diversify) and does not use the same DC than Zappie.
Voyager does not.

Good - but not exactly high bandwidth or unmetered
Be aware, in AU the upstreams are going to matter a lot. Cheap, high bandwidth often implies really, really suboptimal routing, and no one with excellent, quality upstreams is going to sell cheap bandwidth.
Who has the best upstream?
GSL and Telstra if you give a damn about SEA.
Or Cogent/Lumen if America.
It is extremely important to be picky if you really want a VPS in NZ
As long as you have a path to Telstra, Optus, AAPT and TPG that doesn’t leave Australia you’re pretty ok.
For NZ you’d be after a network with a direct/in country path to Spark.
