Feel free to PM me w/

Joined to beg. Nice.
hard to find cheap dedis nowadays man 😭
Must be really keen on one of those banned ip addresses
How about @ColoCrossing ?
fr? Does dartnode have a rep of blacklisted ips or smth? Saw the 1gbps unmetered and thought that it might be cooked
Yes. Just lookup the abuseipdb.com
Yeah they're a good second option if i cant find anything better, the main bottleneck i have against them is the that their cheap dedis r only 4 core. Need atleast ~8 core+
😬😬
im waiting for it, so far nothing apart from the double provisioning happened. The whole subnet is on a list but no notice so far. Im gonna laugh if there will be as nothing runs on it
Yeah, that's why people show up for promotions. Just get an OVH box. If you can afford to spend money on servers you probably also can afford $10 more or:
Seemingly zero research either:
Yeah, fr... but seriously you are begging for an $8/m dedi. How shocked can you seriously be? ...
you didnt have the patience to wait 33 hours in a virtual browser queue? And now begging for a kansas dart hamburger?
I'm listing mine at $999 if you interesting.
Doesnt ovh's dedis start ~$100/mo that's way out of budget unfortunately
VPS though, had my eye on their VPS-4 line... but it's not a Dedi 😅
If you listen to ovh, they state "from 11.10USD", which is a load of horseshit. its more like 22, unless you got one of the old deals
nah i just missed it that's all 🤷♂️ im just asking if by some miracle some1 wants it off their hands
would you be willing to go for $0.999 🤣
Well, currently the cheapest one is $19 unless @OP has to pay VAT but you have a point. According to @OP that's not cheap. It's <$10 or bust and that's hard to come by these days.
You have to understand. @OP is dependent on having access to <$10/m dedis and since the cheapest Kimsufis are sold out for a while now there's just no other way.
It's obviously also 100% impossible to even spend maybe 10 minutes to check if this thing is even a good fit. All that's possible is reading 5 characters ("1gbit"), deciding that it must be cooked and spamming a community @OP will never interact with again once he realizes that chances of getting what he wants were practically zero to begin with.
Actually i'm kind of annoyed with the constant flood of promo requests in general. These are promotional items and not something you shop for but as long as people at least take part in the place they are treating like an on demand menu it's ok-ish in my opinion.
Well, if it weren't for the sheer flood of those requests i wouldn't really care at all. I mean, you are part of a community, so why not ask if they have something you need? At this point it pretty much feels like every second request is someone banking on getting that crazy unsustainable deal from black friday 2022 or whatever though...
hm? wdym "spend maybe 10 minutes to check if this thing is even a good fit"?
From what i see dartnode's promo offer pre much ticks most of my boxes, ofc the blacklisted ips are less than ideal, but not a dealbreak to me
Well, you acted rather shocked about it. Given how much this was mentioned in the thread it's hard to imagine that looked at people's experiences at all but i've pretty much said what i had to say and you actually got an offer - your choice.
yeah, it still a decent price at what it is now. unless you need to compute, then youre wasting your time with that ancient stuff. Certainly one of the reasons why host at home, its like 5€ a month for idle and compiling the kernel is done in couple minutes where as renting something comparable to it would cost me more than i paid for the hardware upfront in 1 year.
Next time try to be active on the DartDay i guess?
Well, some of it really isn't that bad. Would need some research on the actual hardware though... Besides that you can't reasonably expect some kind of supercomputer in the $10-20 range. That's just silly and not only these days.
If it is so ideal why don't you do just this then instead of begging for unicorns? Seems like a nobrainer.
Cold hard truth: 99.999% of the time servers cost money and better servers cost more of it.
Guys don't be mean.
Just transfer your super-limited, super-cheap, super-deal that you waited for hours in queue dedi to this long lasting very helpful and widely loved member of community.
Sure bro I listed 999 but he denied.
The cheapest one is a Intel Xeon-D 1520 which is worse than a haswell i7. And those ran gameservers back then already questionable. Obviously depending on the game but for something like ark, ehhh. Let alone any dev work as stated you have to weigh your time spend/wasted on it for cash worth your time.
I think you must have mistaken me for OP, im not begging here lol^^
Just curious coz nobody is able to explain. Why do you need a dedi that is weaker than a few cores modern VPS? What is your use case?
Well, that's why you aren't being stupid, pay the extra dollar and get the E3-1270v6 instead. At least that's what reasonable people that don't just want to absolute bottom of the barrel would do.
Apologies if i came of like i'm accusing you off begging. It just somewhat felt like you were feeding @OP's narrative of cheap servers being fully unobtainable these days. Besides that the post you are reacting to wasn't even direct at you?
Edit: Ouch. I guess i should look more closely.... Sorry.
Oh no, i was agreeing with you, that the current deals from ovh are still cheap/decent with their current price. Was just giving my personal reason to not bother with it at all in general. God knows why OP has the need for a high core count low ram box(i dont remember the storage but im sure it was very low as well). I certainly dont have one xD well maybe a dns server for flood requests.
