Would Hong Kong work? We have our own DC there.

    Thanked by 1concept

Hey, I’m only looking for Singapore, India and Malaysia. Hong Kong is very far away from those haha.

We can do this for $150 USD per month with a $100 USD setup fee in Equinix SG3.

    1U Space
2x10Gbps with 30TB Bandwidth (DDoS protected, multi-home redundant bandwidth via CDN77/TeraSwitch - overages at $1 per TB)
    150W power draw

We provide all cabling and you will need a NIC that takes fibre as we use DAC's over RJ45 (other than for IPMI, which is RJ45). If you're UK based, 20% VAT would be added on top.

Feel free to drop a DM if interested and we can see if we have the space to put you in.

    Hey! What about the Dubai?

Good luck shipping anything to Dubai at the moment, sea is practically closed and air freight exploded x25 by the Iranian risk, with many not flying at all anymore.
Essentially you can only offload in Saudi-Arabias red sea port and then drive it all the way over, due to low fuel and driver costs this is still far cheaper than air.
Also be ready for insane levels of bureaucracy, not even for bribes, just because they can.

I'm not interested in Dubai. Only the locations I listed: Singapore, India or Malaysia.

@advinservers has colo in Malaysia, you can check them out: https://advinservers.com/colocation they offer 1U for $200/M with 300W power and 30TB bandwidth (1Gbps)

Heres my aff link too: https://clients.advinservers.com/aff.php?aff=660

  • maneremanere Member

They quoted $150/mo for 150W 1 Gbps 30TB. Not interested in AdvinServers.

The speedypage offer is the best you'll get. It's a great deal for the region for a single U, you should take it.

It's way more than what I need and the budget is around $90-110/month.
I tried my best to negotiate with speedypage but not much I could've done. For now I guess Asia is too expensive.

There is no negotiating, it's a good deal for Singapore. If $100~ is your budget, it's honestly not going to happen unless you find a local company in a place line Indonesia or Malaysia that offers like minimal local bandwidth like 50Mbps.

    Really, simple brother:

    150W = 110Kwh
11c/kwh which is REALLY low, China is like 8c, SG is almost 25c
This means 9-25$ simply in power
Real estate in SG costs real money, hard to break down but 1U and the AC is worth 30$ min. Other places sure can get away with 10$.
    = 19-55$
BW is at minimum (or maybe even media by now) 25c/Mbit for anything useful anywhere in Asia - 33TB are 100Mbit which cost the ISP 25$.
    = 44-80$
    Now you want 20% profit - 10-20$
    = 54-100$
This profit is taxed between 0 and 25%, so you only really make 5-15$ in profit before any staff costs, setup, hell even a power cable is 2$... crucially it also does NOT include any IPv4 which is another 50c-1$.

Is it possible what you want? Yea, in some shed in India or a DC in Cyberyaja without AC and insane import costs and work, but for SG and HK (with no import issues...) 100$ just wont cut it.
