DeluxHost: From 3 major outages to stealth VPS deletion in 4 weeks. STAY AWAY!
Hello LET community,
I wanted to share my recent experience with DeluxHost so others can see how they treat customers, manage their billing, and handle support tickets.
I purchased a "VPS STANDARD - VPS-1" package in their Netherlands location on May 28th, 2026. Within less than a month, I experienced three major infrastructure failures and a complete billing disaster.
The Timeline of Constant Outages:
- May 30th (48 hours after purchase) | Ticket #OQC-837598: The server began failing almost immediately. I had to open my very first support ticket regarding complete VPS unavailability and locked control panel buttons.
- June 6th (Hardware Failure) | Ticket #UMV-330930: The VPS went completely down again. The control panel kept throwing timeout errors during boot/restart. Their operator Matteo confirmed an on-site technician was replacing hardware following a "cooling incident" in the datacenter.
- June 13th (The Breaking Point) | Ticket #HYB-571443: The VPS became completely unstable again, dropping offline every 15-20 minutes after yet another infrastructure incident.
Eventually, they acknowledged the issues and extended my "Next Due Date" to July 5th, 2026 as compensation. Because of the terrible uptime and support, I requested a cancellation and full refund (Ticket #PUZ-170979). An agent named Godwin asked me to confirm if I still wanted to proceed, and I said yes.
Then, an operator named Lorenzo stepped in with a bizarre claim:
"You never paid the last two invoices. Service was terminated."
My next due date was officially moved to July 5th. I checked my client area, and the screenshots tell a hilarious story of total billing incompetence. The system automatically generated future invoices in advance (normal for WHMCS) with due dates on June 28th and July 5th. Neither of them was overdue, yet they manually or mistakenly marked the active, paid-for VPS as Terminated and wiped it.
When I replied to Lorenzo, laid out the exact chronology, and provided all the screenshots proving that my service was paid for, they simply ignored the ticket for days and then closed it without a single word of reply. I re-opened it, and they closed it again, completely blank.
What shocks me the most is that they blindly deleted an active server. What if I had critical data on that drive? Wiping a customer's VPS without any legitimate grounds is an outrageous violation of trust.
Before anyone starts defending them with the usual "it's a €2 budget VPS, you get what you pay for" argument — let me stop you right there.
I run multiple VPS nodes with other budget providers at roughly the exact same price point, and they work flawlessly without a single issue. I bought this VPS with DeluxHost strictly as a test because I specifically needed a Netherlands location. I know what budget hosting looks like, but there is a massive difference between "budget service" and total incompetence.
It is not even about the money anymore (€1.99 is a trivial amount). It is a matter of principle and honor. DeluxHost will ignore your tickets for 6 days, fail their own hardware, blindly delete your active data because they can't read invoice due dates.
If you value your time or your data, stay far away from DeluxHost.

thanks. will avoid DeluxHost henceforth. Can't keep production sites with them. That's a poor experience!
I'm confused, you asked for cancellation and full refund, then you've confirmed it, then you were surprised that the server was terminated?
Had a similar experience…
Server gone, tickets closed.
Then the “owner” reached out her and asked for the ticket-id - but nothing happened.
