People should understand this, if a matter is brought to eyes of public (like on LET) it's burning bridges with provider hence they won't likely keep the OP as customer.

There should be limited cases of bashing providers in public and then shouldn't end up in "oh shit my bad fr fr let's forget about this topic".

If provider wasn't active on LET, this would be false negative claim against the provider.

Not sure why a provider would want to keep a customer like that.

Well, not exactly. Customer has a right to escalate some matter with the provider. Some providers has weird or just simply idiotic policies, no respect to customer time or data.

If you openly bash provider without publicly acceptable reason - then yes, you generate drama, burn bridges and probably forgot to unplug your-self…

@NDTN If the OP is going to complain about what he bought, maybe you should give that room to us instead.

His livelihood is on the line. He’s a well-known affiliate, and apparently the uptime of the VPS running his affiliate business is critical. 😂

@NDTN, when you say that the new VPS is already "fully operational etc etc great success etc", do you mean that this new VPS is empty without any data and I have to reconfigure it? Or do you actually mean that you migrated my old data to the new VPS and you won't break things this time?

Is it so fucking hard to SSH in and find out for yourself?

yes this is known to be very hard

  • You need to bake some resilience into it.

    And remember, simpler works better.

Oh my... Luckily at least that didn't happen to me yet but just a couple weeks ago my packets escaped from the pipe and proceeded to eat a bunch of interns. It was bad.

That's an intellectually stimulating question @beanman109.... let me put some though on it.... Oh yes I know! I know it! It's very hard to SSH into a VPS that does not exist and has no address! Only the most senior of the pros like @emgh can manage it!

Spoiler alert: I was informed 30 minutes ago that the email above was sent to me in error, and I can pat-dry my tears and resume screwing myself with my favorite toy, because everything will be fine and the VPS won't be migrated. So yes I'm basically bitching and barking at fake emails now.

Well, what do i know? Usually they just stick to conspiring with sshguard but after 3am anything can happen.
