@NDTN my butt still hurts from the last time you broke it. What's wrong with my butt why you keep pounding it :bawling:

It took so much work to manually restore the ZFS when your filesystem transfer failed and I don't want to do it again 😡

I believe it is best for you to back up your data and move to an alternative provider. We dont want more threads where you claimed data lost while it was not and it took a lot of back and forth time because you did not read the whole email and blame the issue on us.

I don't care about the money, it's the 8 hours it takes to manually unscrew the screwing and uncork the corking. AND IT'S NOT ABOUT THE DATA, I FREAKING HAVE THE DATA BACKUP, it's ZFS that they are going to screw and I have to rebuild the whole thing.

Refund and move on to another provider.

Not backing up and not using ZFS are also options.

To clarify: your active VPS has already been migrated to VirtFusion and is fully operational. The email you received was an automated alert regarding your old SolusVM VPS, which is simply awaiting cleanup. There is no service outage.

Our refund offer still stands. Back up your data, let us know when you are ready, and we will issue a refund and terminate the service.

@NDTN, when you say that the new VPS is already "fully operational etc etc great success etc", do you mean that this new VPS is empty without any data and I have to reconfigure it? Or do you actually mean that you migrated my old data to the new VPS and you won't break things this time?

Your VPS has been migrated already and would not be affected by this migration.

    Okay, that is good.

I think I interpreted too literally the email where it literally said that I would need to restore the data manually. Because in May the email was the same (... "in case of failure you will have to migrate manually") and a bad day and a bad night ensued afterward.

@NDTN I'll put some effort now in toning down the old thread

Because to some, crying is emergency, and they need to cry at public place, so the attention could be achieved at highest point possibel.

    Plot twist:

@NDTN wait a week and close & refund his account so he will need to migrate for 3rd (or 4th?) time - maybe this time he will figure out a way to properly backup the data :-D

@NDTN: I asked @angstrom to tone down the old thread. I understand it takes more effort to deal with forum posts than with tickets, it just seemed very much like the same story was going to repeat itself all over. Glad you found a solution to do a proper migration this time.
