Do you support full fan speed?
This is what makes a provider a good provider! Not just acknowledging and remedying the problem, but taking steps to ensure no problems of that kind are capable of happening in the future. Respect!
Could you elaborate on what you mean by “full fan speed”?
In IPMI its possible to make the server fans spin at full speed, this helps in avoiding throttling and achieves cooler hardware
I think you are mixing 2 different, unrelated things IPMI is just a remote console to the
server. Fans settings are in BIOS, in case of OP - behind a password.
Onlyfans settings are open, depends on your preferences
Well speaking about supermicro here, of course available in bios as well
All our Ryzen 9 servers, including 5950X, 7950X and 9950X, are water-cooled. There is no direct CPU fan installed on the CPU heatsink. Cooling is handled by the water-cooling loop, with a pump and radiator fan.
So in this case, “CPU fan speed” is not applicable in the traditional sense, because these servers do not use a standard air cooler mounted directly on the CPU.
Pump RPMs and pressure then?
I think we need a video tour of the water cooling setup to prove it's real.
Hey @Mevspace, so is 5200 the max for 2 DIMM you will do even though the RAM is 5600? Not a big issue if so, just curious since that's the solution I was provided.
Good to hear you're working on making these things doable by the customer themselves, though I have to say the response times from support have been very good and impressive.
If not already in the works, one improvement you can make in the future is the firewall page in the dashboard, it's a little too basic compared to the options in hetzner for example (it's fine currently but can be improved).
