_I think it's been over a year now because I picked up 3 vps and the 1yr contract expired months ago..

I leased 2 vps from racknerd and 1 from massive grid.
Very happy with racknerd overall, Im able to do multiple things with no issues. I think My current racknerd vps expires in 12 months. I forget the prices because I upgrade every one of them. I think the renew price is $108 for 2 years 8gb ram 100gb ssd 4cpu 20TB/month
MassiveGrid I picked up for around $50 or $100 for 4 years, it expires in 31 months. This one is 3cpu 65gb HDD 2gb ram 20TB/month. The price was very good and tempting so I pulled the trigger. It will host email and website fine but if you start to use it and multi-task performance reflects that, its very easy to get terrible response times. When I first got it it would take 15-25 seconds just to process ssh login, its more reasonable now. The network feels solid but the IO for HDD is sluggish. It was worse when I first got it and they said they changed something to improve it.. its still pretty slow but for the price I guess I wont complain unless it goes offline before expiration for any given reason.
So overall I do not have anything negative to say about either host.
Question:
Are we going to see great deals again this holiday season? The prices I mentioned, I see nothing being posted in that range... and I was honestly hoping to at least get the same price on a beefier box since its been a couple of years.
What do you guys think??
