Deluxhost: Server Deleted by Mistake? No Fix After 5 Days
Hi guys,
I wanted to share my experience with Deluxhost.net.
In November 2025, I purchased a W-3 VPS for €23/year, which was a great deal. The server performed well, so in March I ordered an additional “STORAGE-2” VPS.
Unfortunately, the storage performance was extremely poor. Transfer speeds on the HDD storage were allways between 1–3 MB/s. I opened a support ticket and was asked to provide more information. I monitored the performance for about a day, collected logs and benchmarks, and submitted everything they requested.
The ticket was then closed without any reply.
Because the server was basically unusable with those storage speeds, I decided to cancel the STORAGE-2 VPS.
Given my experience with support, I also decided to cancel the W-3 VPS, but only at the end of the current billing period (November 2026). Instead, the server was cancelled and deleted immediately.
I contacted support again. They said they would investigate the issue, but the ticket was closed once more. After reopening it, they apologized and escalated the case to their billing department.
At this point, I’m being asked to wait for billing/accounting to look into the issue, while my server remains deleted.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Deluxhost?
Pros:
- Good performance on the W-3 VPS
- Very affordable pricing
Cons:
- Extremely poor storage VPS performance
- Support tickets closed without resolution
- Cancellation request appears to have resulted in immediate deletion of the server
- Slow handling of what should be a technical restoration issue

Deluxehost is a premium company. They don't make any mistakes.

Haha, oh, yes it was a typo. Their name is awfully close though and Hostpapa of all things running the show is kinda crazy.

It has now been several days since my original post.
Deluxhost has reached out to me here on the forum and asked for my ticket ID. I provided the requested information.
Unfortunately, since then nothing has happened.
I will update this thread again if there is any progress.

Im dead honest mate, same thing happend to me, only I realised within seconds that this was kind of my fault. You probably forgot to check the "I am sure I want to delete this server" thingy. If you hit cancel and this shitbox is not checked, the other checkbox jumps back from end of turn to immediate. You cancel again and the server gets deleted. To be completely honest: I was high as fuck and you actually have to confirm a second time that you want to delete this server. Whilst my fingers were fast confirming, my brain needed 2-3 seconds to process what I have done. Too late, "damage" was done. Lost an other idler. Thanks Merkel.
