They're cheap. People will buy regardless.

And many people doesn't even know what cpu steal is so it can be

can anyone send a yabs for one of there vps's? I don't feel like byeing one to find out
why not? 500k VPS can be just 5k servers. That's only 2 floors.
Once the contabo servers down it will take almost 3-4 days for fixing some times even 1 week
used to have a vps with them in the past. it's good enough that i got 0% steal

credit where it is due, contabo's recent investment in turin cpu has made it more bearable and, in fact, sufficiently good.

some new LET providers who launched in last 6 to 12 months claim on their site that they've +25K customers. Contabo is quite older brand.
From what i've heard it's pretty hit and miss. If you end up on a node with a lot of mostly idle neighbors it's OK but if you are put with the party squad you are SOL and like people mentioned support isn't great. Contabo can work out but if it does is so far beyond people's influence it's not really recommendable.
Contabo is good for the price. Nothing intense for longer time, but for bursts they are ok.
I used to use them, they weren't bad for a time but they got bad in St. Louis
never used them, because i read LET threads. And one thing i hate is oversold 5 euro vps-es. If they were 1 or 2 euro okay, like strato and ionos has. But 5 euro... omg how dare they. (Greta accent)

And yes, it seems they do get better - albeit very slowly (based on what I saw and see). Also see below ...
St. Louis happens to be one of their locations I have a Contabo VPS (since a few years) and in my books it always was under "yuck!".
It depends quite a lot on location. My upgraded VPS in Germany for example got so much better that it actually ended up in the top 5 in my shootout thread. I presume that their new location are similarly good, but their older locations which aren't upgraded yet are quite [self censored].
The way I see it you get quite a lot for not that much money (e.g. very generous traffic volume), BUT their VPSs aren't racing horses.
Or in other words: a really decent and damn good enough deal and VPS for well over 85% of us.
