    Email received today

    Dear Customer,

As part of our ongoing strategic transition announced earlier this month, HostSlick will officially discontinue all Shared Hosting and VPS services at the end of their respective billing periods.

You can read our previous announcements here:

    https://hostslick.de/clients/announcements/95/A-New-HostSlick-Experience-is-Loading-.html

    https://hostslick.de/clients/announcements/93/HostSlick-Strategic-Update-Full-Focus-on-Dedicated-and-Bare-Metal.html

    What does this mean?
Existing Shared Hosting and VPS services will continue operating normally until the end of their active billing cycle
Renewals for these services will no longer be available
Dedicated Servers and Bare-Metal services remain fully available and are now our primary focus
This strategic shift allows us to focus entirely on high-performance infrastructure, bandwidth-intensive workloads, and enterprise-grade dedicated solutions.

    Alternative Providers
We would also like to recommend some trusted friends and supporters for customers looking for VPS or Shared Hosting alternatives.
As a former VPS customer of os you will receive some exclusive discount with the following providers to move your VPS to:

    https://hostcay.com
Use code: GET20 for 20% off recurring
Use code: GET40 for 40% off the first month

    https://vmheaven.io
Use code: HOSTSLICK20 for 20% off

    https://stealthvm.net
Use code: HOSTSLICK20 for 20% off recurring

    https://pfcloud.io/store/kvm-nl
Use code: HOSTSLICK5 for 5% off recurring

    https://trivox.sh/services/vps-kvm
Use code: Hostslick10 for 5% off recurring

    Dedicated Servers Remain Available
Our Dedicated Server platform continues to expand with:

    More bandwidth options
    Additional automation features
    High-performance Bare-Metal infrastructure
    Improved network capacity and scalability
Explore our Dedicated Server offers here:

    https://hostslick.de/dedicated-servers

We would like to sincerely thank all customers who used our Shared Hosting and VPS services over the years. Your support helped shape HostSlick into what it is today.

If you have any questions regarding your services or migration options, please contact our support team.

    Best regards,
    HostSlick Team

Got the same email and just read this bit:

"Existing Shared Hosting and VPS services will continue operating normally until the end of their active billing cycle"

Operating normally? Where? It's down and no reply to tickets.

PS: anyone noticed the switch of domain extension from .com to .de?

Lesson learned: Beware Black Friday deals. If it sound good, it might be too good...
(lets say I'm not overly happy with the deals I scored from two different providers back then)

Those with dedicated servers might want to save their data and cancel. I assume others have already transferred away.

Anyone no longer able to log in to the Client Area?

I just get Login Details Incorrect. Please try again.

The VPS is still up and running (for now at least).

    Haven't even got a reply.

I think Hostslick is deadpooled and rebranded into other names HostCay etc.

  • Earlier the ip address ping came online for my 3TB box. I thought after 4w 3d 1hr 41min of downtime my VPS came back online, but no I still couldn't start it. Maybe the IP just gets assigned to some other servers. I'm not even mad I'm just impressed.

It's still down for me. I think the VPS are there present, but IPs are null routed/suspended.

Kinda mad that it went down after I renewed the plan.

I think LET needs some sort of mechanism to take providers accountable in events like this.

Their host rep tag is suspended so they can no longer offer anything in this forum anymore, but it doesn't seem like that's a huge problem for them

I just logged to my account and there are no services and thus I can not open a ticket.

Any proof that they are Hostcay?

We’re not Hostslick. We resell dedicated servers under our own ASN and IP ranges through several upstream providers. Hostslick is just one of the 3–4 providers we use.

A while back, I commented on a discussion where people were having issues with their VPS services. My comment was simply that just because they stopped offering cheap VPS deals doesn’t mean the company is “dead.” They still have substantial infrastructure and many dedicated server resellers, so discontinuing one service line doesn’t automatically mean they’re going to disappear.

Why they decided to stop offering cheap yearly VPS deals which they stopped honouring due to such services have more running costs and it’s just not a good business model, or what led to that decision, is none of my business, and I won’t speculate on it. My comment was strictly about the claims that the company was “deadpooling” nothing more.

Now this guy is trying to claim that because of my comment, Hostslick somehow rebranded into all of its resellers. That’s a ridiculous conclusion and makes absolutely no sense.

lmao why is he talking about reputation "on lowendtalk" then he literally advertises his services on black hat/hack forums? can't be worse than that lol

@HostSlick You've plenty of time to lurk here, but no time to provide the "promised" refund?

I asked the same question. The answer he gave was, "$7" (whatever it means).

He knows no body will sue him for refunds so he is just trolling everyone at this moment as he is shutting the VPS business.
