Hetzner Price Increase
I am seeing Hetzner bumped the prices again. This is crazy, almost 500% price increase in few months. What they are thinking?

Comments
Das ist zu teuer!
They're thinking they want to remain a sustainable business
It's just what the great AI boom does to non-AI companies that are based on renting hardware. Their servers are pretty in-line with the other big companies pricing for the same hardware.
They still have more affordable auction servers, but those are more expensive too now.
Seems they reduced the setup fee by like 90% though, was like 500 euro setup fee for the high end servers last week
they decided it is finally time to make a profit
They are actively engaging into more high-end market. You can tell that from their news: recently they announced "Matrix Dell" line, clearly catered towards B2B.
It is over folks. Hetz will just transform into medium to high price and become one more faceless dinosaur. Digitalocean, Vultr, Linode, to many to count.
Dell prof. servers are
Nope, they are doing those Dell lines since years, I'd say more than 10.
Seems like locking in on 3-year contract with Leaseweb to be most logical bet atm. I get 4c/6GB/100GB for 2.55GBP/3EUR per month/monthly billing.
And LW do not (usually) have 'issues' or 'problems'. Hetzner does not either but now they want 6EUR for 2c/4GB/40GB of sucky performance CPU line.
No thanks
How do you do that if you are mere mortal? LW does only B2B, or is it changed?
The CCX13, which was originally priced at €16 after the price increase, now costs €43.
This is 10+ years contract/account as I had services before and over time. But I did had to make "statement" that this is for B2B use and that I am actually someone who uses this to sell/resell services to clients. Which I do. I guess combination of legacy account and that 'statement'. I have UK/NL/DE accounts and ability to deploy but I only use UK as I found it best for my needs.
moreover they removed the base pricing from all plans and made to zero per month.
now we have to click on "Configure" and add hardware to see pricing. its very hard to compare plan at first glance. old was better. may be Hetzner wants to hide their FAT pricing now?
lmao. the price hike is hilarious
Let's try leaseweb vps 1 maybe it's a good alternative to hetzner CX23

These price increases are nuts
I wonder if @Hetzner_OL would still participate in this forum after the stunt...
everything is up except my salary.
Definitely they didn't consider LET rules
Hetzner is a no go this days. Was good 5..6 years ago but not anymore. An old i7-6700 with 32GB RAM is €46 without VAT.. WOW.
Feel you brother, feel you..
Thanks, Hetzner, for giving me the motivation to finally migrate my servers over to Vultr!
What are you migrating/how much do you think you'll save?
A new reality.
They haven't really participated for ages now but to be fair recently it occasionally looked like they were trying to show some goodwill even if it was just 2-3 instances and i'm not sure how much goodwill i'd attribute to directing people to their own forum.
People often times still have this image attached to Hetzner that formed during the auction server glory days (you just couldn't go wrong with those boxes...) but there hasn't been much of a connection between this and reality for years now.
Jeez, i mean a small VPS was like what back then? 2,20€? 1,70€? In any case something around 2€. Sure, people eat the increases for a while but by now most of them have probably left Hetzner to look for greener pastures or they are just holding on to a bunch of legacy deals, which also get less and less attractive with every passing year.
Signed owner of a ~20 year old Hetzner account...
Didn't we just get a price increase in April? It's not even been 3 full months
Well the good thing with the price increases that, nowadays almost most of the big names has same or similar pricing. So you don't have to stuck with a provider because they are cheap.
If you are not happy with Hetzner, you can easily move to another one as they all cost similar at this point.
Netcup is below Hetzner now

and onidel vps price
Well, it was good while it lasted. I've already been migrating part of the infrastructure to Netcup, and I'm really liking it
