Looking for US dedicated server with BGP/BYOIP in Chicago or NYC

xavconxavcon Member

Looking for a dedicated server in either Chicago or New York with BGP/BYOIP support. Need to announce my own ARIN /24 via LOA.
Requirements:

Location: Chicago or NYC (other Tier 1 US cities considered)

  • CPU: Xeon Gold / EPYC or similar server-grade (no consumer hardware)
  • RAM: 128GB+ DDR4/DDR5
  • Storage: 2x NVMe or SSD in RAID
  • Bandwidth: 1Gbps+ unmetered preferred, metered with 30TB+ also fine
  • BYOIP: must support customer prefix announcement via LOA
  • IPMI access
  • Monthly billing, no long term contract
  • Reputable DC with solid uptime and redundant power.

Budget: $150-250/mo range depending on specs.

This will be the first of several servers. Planning to run VPS nodes and will be adding capacity as demand grows, so looking for a long term provider relationship, not a one off.

Already looked at GTHost, HostKey, Hivelocity, ReliableSite, DataWagon, Crunchbits, OnlyServers. Either out of stock, wrong location, or consumer hardware. Open to suggestions I haven't considered.

Drop offers below or DM.

Thank you!

    We've got these in Chicago:
Dual 2699v4 + 128 GB RAM (also got a 512 GB RAM one)
If you're ok with an inferior CPU too, then Dual 2683v4 + 256 GB RAM and
    Dual Platinum 8173M + 256 GB RAM

    DM me if interested.

We'd create a proxy route object in RADB - so long as the LoA is valid, and there's no conflict with any RPKI.

Beware of @TheRealBudgetVM. I've waited for them to set up a BGP session on a newly ordered server for over a month last year and all I got was excuses and apologies that Steve had been busy. The server itself was fine, but I never got that BGP session.

    Timeline:

2025-03-07: Custom server order w/ BGP session was put in and paid
2025-03-11: I think this was when the server itself was delivered
2025-03-26: I got my ASN, prefix lease and LOA sorted out and sent everything to them
2025-03-31: Pinged them again after having received no reply
2025-04-01: I opened a new ticket as nobody seemed to be reading the original sales ticket anymore
2025-04-03: Pinged them a second time
2025-04-04: Sales replies along the lines of Steve has been busy and he has to sort it out
2025-04-07: Finally received a reply from Steve: "Looks to have been missed. Working this with the team this morning." "Should be ready tomorrow."
2025-04-10: Radio silence. Pinged them again
2025-04-10: Reply: "It was delayed due to emergency maintenance which froze the change control process. I am expecting it to be done today now."
2025-04-11: The server renews for a second month
2025-04-15: I tell them that I need it working ASAP
2025-04-23: I tell them that it's taking too long and I won't renew the server if it's not done until the end of the week, as I can't use it for the intended purpose
2025-04-24: Steve replies "I agree completely unacceptable. Let me dig into this and i'll get back to you."
2025-05-12: I let the server expire, having received no further communications
