What's a RDP VPS? A VPS with Windows preinstalled?
Yes
That's bare minimum for modern Windows these days, even then you are limited
with what you can run. Try to make it like 6-8GB ram for 5$
someone can probably do it for $7
Take a look at our VPS offerings: https://belgiumvm.be/ryzen-vps
You can probably get away without dedicated IPv4, just NAT.
€3,20 if paid monthly
€2,88 if paid quarterly
Use code LET20 to reach these prices
I'm typing this from my 2007 2GB computer that doesn't want to die and doesn't stutter. You can open so many virtual terminals with 2GB RAM that you don't know what to do with all of them. On the other hand my Android 9 phone is apparently obsolete with 6 hours of screen-on battery life still in it :(
What part of "modern" has to be explained? Naturally we all used Windows XP in 2007,
with 2GB ram, and felt like everything is totally OK and we can even play San Andreas.
But for todays workloads, if you install Win11/Server2022/25, the 4GB is the entry.
The default installer won't even let you proceed without this requirement.
And he wants RDP, probably to run something more on it, so...
You can buy a device with 8GB of RAM for $3, though it may not be available in every region.
I recall getting 768 MB RAM for 2000 Pro because the standard at the time was 512 and I was ballin'
This is about the time I graduated, 2004. So got me a Pentium 4, 2000Mhz, was happy
like a dog on a beach. Upgraded RAM to 1GB. My setup was top spec to that time.
You can get it with $3.99 if you pay annually
And $4.99 if monthly
I don’t think there is something cheaper.
