Deeply, deeple dissatisfied by DeluxHost. They've admitted that they have too much CPU steal and other problems, but they do NOTHING about it.
When complaining, they don't reply to tickets and auto-close them.
Customer service "Deluxe Style" is ignoring customers and structurally overselling. Not recommended at all.
Mh, no? If you expect immediate responses within minutes, that certainly won't be feasible, but we usually aim to resolve most issues within 72 hours.

Well, if the "Delux Style" is true, I doubt thousands of customers would place their trust in us.
What you describe is due to the fact that the system automatically closes tickets sometimes, not because we do it.
We have many issues and things we need to prioritize, since, as we know, some storage systems need to be stabilized, in addition to a major migration that will take place. CPU stealing on SOME nodes is certainly one of them, and that doesn't mean we're not working on it.
I think it's just very easy to criticize.
With these prices, it is inevitable that there will be massive oversales.
The servers as a whole don't have a high steal rate, only a few nodes do, due to abuses and probably some imperfect balancing.
Nothing unsolvable.
But I think that for the price we charge, having a service like this that works and provides enough resources for testing and other things is no small feat.
We have so many things to think about at the moment and I might have missed it.

So I tried to buy a Z-4 a few days ago just to see if Delux is as bad as some folks say. I put in all of the details to create a new account, entered my Paypal details, and pressed go, but the site wouldn't process the order. It turns out that even though there are fields on the order page to create a new account with the order, it won't actually let you do that. You have to create the account first, then login, then make your order. By the time I figured this out, they charged and refunded my credit card three times and Paypal marked the payment suspicious, so fruther attempts now that I have an account fail. I'm not happy that Delux has my PII and I don't have any service, but whatever. I thought the invoice would eventually just clear out, but I've now received three overdue invoice notices that I literally cannot pay.

The invoice is #27555. I received the third notice 10 minutes ago, but upon logging in I see that the invoice is finally canceled. I never created a support ticket because I didn't think it was necessary.
Not like I really need the freebie, price is already good w/o it.
But I'm kinda puzzled why is it even there if nothing will ever happen.
Having these issues for quite some time now, and I'm not the only one. But in the meanwhile, sales go on. And on. The "we don't close tickets the system does" is something that makes it worse; "the system" is closing tickets after a couple of days of no responses from you. It should never do that.
Regarding the remark of someone that "with these prices overselling is to be expected"; well, not always. DeluxHost present themselves as having some kind of quality. In the first period I've also not had this kind of steal for this kind of period; it happened occasionally. But after the raised prices it became structural, was denied at first as being an issue, and when proof came and it was acknowledged as not being as it should, nothing happened.
If DeluxHost has "so much issues to fix", then they shouldn't keep on putting new users on the system and only increasing problems if they want to have an image of professional/trusted provider.
