We are building a free cloud product sales system, similar to WHMCS.
Hey, my brothers, I'm using Codex to build a cloud product sales system similar to whmcs. The tech stack is NestJS + Vue + MySQL. The basic features are already implemented, and after we finish, we plan to open source it for free on GitHub.

Nice prompt results
Work Orders.... #facepalm
Very nice. Though the font sizes are a bit off
Do you know how to secure it?
Hey, my brother, Fantastic, your sales has been doubled.
That said, let me guess, you need volunteers who love uncalculated risk-taking to test your product, right?
Well, this is your lucky day, I know a few stupid guys who, I'm sure, would be delighted to test your product.
By the way, here's their most recent stunt

UPDATE: I got in touch with them just now and only three of them are available at the moment, the biker and the two rightmost guys. The other two are still recovering but they will also be available shortly.
Another AI MJJ useless fun product.
How many tokens did you use?
We @VeloxMedia are very interested.
What is your USP, do you have one?
You don't??? Then I have bad news for you, I started building a free cloud product sales system just now and it will be competing against yours.
However, my sales system will have a very powerful and unique USP: a SALES DOUBLING mechanism. I instructed claude to include a button that when clicked all sales get doubled, immediately.
How about that, I bet you were not expecting this. Does you system have sales doubling?
Have fun with your private jet, your yacht, and your $100 million mansion.
Why would anyone use MySQL instead of Pg in 2026?
Main question is why?
I know there's space in the market, that's not what I'm asking... What is your motivation to decide to spend your money using AI to create something that (hopefully) you will spend time auditing to make sure it's actually secure, just to give it away for free?
What is driving you to make that choice?
In the old days, I'd suggest it probably means you're young and inexperienced and want to learn how to code by working on this project, but if you're using AI, you won't even be learning how to code, and I'd be sceptical of your ability to create a safe and secure system.
And to go to all this effort just to give it away for free... what are you getting out of this project? In the absence of a compelling reason, I personally wouldn't trust it not to be an attack vector.
The total token consumption over the past 7 days is 1.82 billion.
Is using AI to build the apps really unsecure?
As someone who doesn't use AI, what is that in dollars? It sounds like a lot of tokens.
Depends on the model but thats way over 10k green ones.
No way OP used that amount. Unless it's some Chinese model with different pricing.
Before the subscription expires and the quota resets, I have to create something with it. However, during these past few days of intense development, I found it really exhausting. Now I don't plan to continue working on this system anymore. I might go and do something more fun instead.
I don't think there's much of a problem, because you can have Codex test itself, and you can also create scheduled tasks to periodically start a new session to review the recently submitted code.
AI can help get a prototype together quickly, but for a WHMCS-like system the trust work is the hard part. I would keep the first public version very narrow: customers, packages, provisioning logs, invoices, and role permissions. Avoid card storage entirely, encrypt provider/API credentials, verify webhook signatures, and keep an audit log for admin/reseller/customer actions.
If you publish it, a clear threat model, install guide, and a list of known gaps will make people much more comfortable testing it. Even if you stop development, a small repo with honest limitations is more useful than a big “free panel” that people cannot evaluate safely.

why?
...or just like the experience. Personally i find writing (interesting) code relaxing. It takes my mind of things and is very much just like a techie version of a crosswords puzzle to me.
I obviously still wouldn't start some big ambitious (public) project due to knowing that my time constraints wouldn't allow for much noteworthy progress (well, at least in an ideal world where i manage to convince myself to do the right thing and not spend just 30 minutes on this clever piece of code fully knowing that it'll really just eat my day without me doing anything of actual importance...) and this is while it wouldn't (at least directly) cost me any money.
To be fair they'll still learn how to handle AI, which is, even if i don't like it much, a skill in itself. How much sense that makes without first having a solid grasp on programming itself is of course another topic and i very much agree with your concerns in general.
"DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES" and "MAKE IT FULLY SECURE", never forget to give Codex those two instructions.
As long as you do that all should be fine.
Do you know how to secure it?
They asked AI if it’s secure
i'm willing to bet my life that this guy is using chinese claude proxy resellers from taobao who resell Claude api for dirt cheap.
These api resellers obtain access via these ways:
1. bulk-registering API accounts to farm Anthropic’s $5 free credit
2. reselling unused quota from others’ accounts
3. corporate/educational discount arbitrage
4. “APImaxxing” — one $200 Max plan carved up among multiple users via tokens-per-hour quotas, exploiting the gap between Anthropic’s flat subscription price and the far higher cost of equivalent pay-per-token API access
5. Stolen credit cards/Stolen accounts
You can read more in depth about it here
https://www.chinatalk.media/p/how-to-buy-cheap-claude-tokens-in
For now, the Claude model is still relatively expensive, but even the gap between Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5 isn’t very obvious, so GPT remains the most widely used. As for these API relay stations, the most common approach is to get Pro accounts in low‑price regions. Batch registration is already very difficult now. Back when it was simpler, there were many free public API relay stations. The ones on Taobao are actually average in quality, while those in some communities or forums are better.
If it's for hobby then sure use AI all the way. But for production man who would actually want to put their card information in a system that is done purely by AI. I'm good.
