VDS or Dedicated Server Europe

Hello,

I hope you're doing well. We'd like to discuss a potential business arrangement.

We are planning to launch a VPN service for users in Iran. However, many IP addresses are blocked there, which makes finding suitable servers challenging.

We're looking for a provider that can offer VPS instances from multiple IP ranges so we can test different IPs. If we find a "clean" IP range that works reliably, we'd like the provider to upgrade that VPS to the highest available plan or even provide a dedicated server from the same range.

As an incentive, we are willing to pay 20% above the regular server price on a monthly basis for this service and flexibility.

Please let us know if this is something you can offer.

Thank you.

  • Are you sure that's such a good idea overall? @Murv probably knows more about this but i'd imagine that those ranges would switch from unblocked to blocked pretty quickly once a large amount of suspicious traffic starts flowing.

How much I wish there would be no censorship in Iran and that these VPN "providers" would go bankrupt

No, some IP ranges are not blocked, and when the right technology is used, they don't get filtered. For example, we've seen cases where more than 300 TB of traffic has passed through them without being blocked.

I see. It's not like 300TB are exactly a whole lot when it comes to actual scale though. Anyways, the expert has spoken and i'm out of here.

And if the IPs get blocked, do you expect the provider to replace them, change five IP ranges until you find one that works, and then repeat the same process again after a few days? What happens if all the IPs get blocked — should the provider issue a refund? In some cases, IPs get blocked very quickly.

This should cost not 20% more, but more than 100% above the regular server price.

From my experience, clients like this are a real pain in the ass.

The best solution for both you and the service providers would be: Lease IP addresses from a provider such as IPXO, bring them to your server provider, and pay the regular server price.

No, that's not the approach we're taking. We use a method designed to avoid getting blocked in the first place. The only requirement is that the IP address is not blocked initially.

If the IP does get blocked, we do not expect any IP replacement or any attempt to switch to a different IP and try again. We only need that single IP address.

There is also no need for any refund if the IP becomes blocked later.
