Hello.
Currently I have a KS-LE-B and a KS-B from OVH in France, priced at 9.9 euro + 18.99 euro, with 20% VAT that comes around 40USD per month.
I have a R730, dual e5 2698 v4 CPU.
I am thinking of any possibility of spending similar to colocate my 2U server in the UK to replace those OVH servers.
Also how does power usage work in colocation hosting? What happens with power spike?
Any providers feel free to comment with an offer for colocation in UK.

Real talk, though, power usage depends on the provider and what you're getting. Some include it, some offer Pay as you go (PAYG) or Pre Commitment Options, but from what I've seen, if you're paying for power, they usually take your average usage, such as your average amp usage
I see UK servers mentioned a lot, and they seem to have a good rep, but I did see somewhere a place called mxnap. I believe they are offering a first month free + 20% recurring discount.
If you're from the UK, I would possibly consider looking at what's local to you, as remote hand costs will be something else you need to consider
yea true with the costs of Remote Hands, Hardware, and Colocation. It adds up pretty quickly and then you end up realizing buying a preconfigured dedicated server is better from one of the many providers on here is a better option. It is hard to get something better than a juicy OVH chicken. Like the price you are paying for a whole dedicated server 9.9 eur is crazy.
I've seen some that includes certain amount of time for free like 15 min per month or something but I'm always be happy to go down for a day to do what's needed.
Also it's the international shipping I don't want to get into, if not I think it would be cheaper in europe maybe?
Not necessarily for just 2U. You'd be talking about one or two pounds per months if that much at all. Once your server got a real issue, remote hands will be so expensive that it's often cheaper to just dump the server if it's not brand new.
