Free email hosting with access to SMTP and other protocols

I am searching for a free email hosting for a non profit with custom domain name. There are multiple platforms offering free email hosting on the web, but they have a specific need.

The non-profit is not sending a high quantity of emails per day (5-10 per day on average, in total), with around 7 email accounts. The disk space is not a problem (they usually download the emails and store locally, while keeping their accounts with only important data). The only requirement is to allow the use of mail clients (such as the mail client on android, or thunderbird) with the specific protocols. I am unable to find a service like this.

They used the free plan of Zoho, but it doesn't allow external mail clients.

Any advice is really appreciated! Thanks!

    Ou, we had non-profit bozzos here. What kind of non-profit org are you? Would you help to install remote admin tools on elderly people devices?

    Maybe Google Workspace can help you.
    Have you tried them?

    If you can share some extra information with me, such as the organization name and the type of work the organization does, via DM, I can help you further. My email hosting, Mailbig, can be used on any Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, or web platform.

    @ITChristian Rather than scrounge a freemail service

    @tnahosting has a $4/yr hosting deal w/ mail
    @jar won't see this but he had $15/3yr deals
    @NameBig has $6/yr
    @NameCrane has $20/3yr

    those are all I remember offhand, but free often isn't worth the headache man.

    Can one reasonably expect deliverability problems with tna's inexpensive shared mail hosting?

    from what i recall, it runs off namecrane/cranemail infrastructure though i'm not privy to the specifics of the arrangement.

    At least outgoing messages are being sent through them.
