Bizzly Hosting Introduction + Testers Wanted

edited May 23 in Offers

Hi LeT!

Firstly, short introduction about us: we are an Australian based company. Our roots are mostly in Software Development, but I personally have a strong Web Host background and always wanted to get back in to the space.

We’ve pulled the trigger and are having a crack! Our primary focus won’t be so much on the low-end services, however we do plan to stop by for the larger events and try drop something!

We’re super new, and naturally, being a Software House we’ve developed everything in-house over the past 9 months. To start with, we’re looking for some testers for our custom panel.

We have the following plan available for 10 testers:

$1 per month (first 12 months) - then $5 per month:
1 IPv4
1GB Memory
15GB Disk
1 CPU
500GB Bandwidth
[Please note our regular pricing for this type of plan will not normally be $5]
Use code "BETA" on the deploy server screen or https://hosting.bizzly.au/offers/BETA

All we ask in return is feedback. Either directly via email, or to join our Discord server and chat with us directly there.
Welcome to use the server for any use case within or AuP, although being a “test” program, maybe avoid prod-like uses for now ;)
The point of this plan is to get feedback, so if this isn’t something that interests you please give this one a miss to avoid being prematurely moved to the $5pm price.

*We own our own hardware and IPs.
*All our servers are Ryzen CPUs, DDR5, NVMe Storage, 1GB Network Link.
*Pricing in AUD.
*Outgoing mail is blocked, currently.
*First come first served. Limited to 10 slots to start us off.

I look forward to becoming a regular here again! It has been a few years.

Any questions about us, please ask!

  • Why does the deployment page show $2/mo when I access it?

  • zrj766zrj766 Member
    1. The control panel doesn't have a reinstall option;
    2. After using a discount code, it only says the code has been applied, but the price display hasn't changed, so I'm unsure if the code was actually applied;
    3. I set a password to log in, but the password is incorrect, and I can't log in.

My apologies, was originally going to be $2. I changed it everywhere except the spot that actually mattered! :D Fixed

    1. Reinstall is implemented just needs some final tweaks - will be in this week.
    2. Seeing the $2 still? This has also been fixed :)
    3. Can you jump on our Discord, or email us @ [email protected] - I will need to look in to this.

  • I'm kinda tempted to sign up, do nothing with the account and just send an email each month how everything is very gay. Seems like $1 well spent.

Some functions are missing from the Control Panel.

    1. Reinstall the system

    2. Change the root password

    I encountered the same issue:
    1. Incorrect password, but I clearly remember it and did not make a mistake.
    2. Tried to reinstall, but there is no such option.
    3. VNC shows that the installation was not successful?
    4. Regarding the billing issue mentioned above.

Thank you!! :) I'll send you a DM once I've worked out what is going wrong with the password.
I've got a dev finishing off the reinstall implementation right now - has been the biggest request thus far (likely due to 1.)

Btw: All slots have now been exhausted.
Thanks so much all! Has given us a few points to fix and some missing functionality.

We might open up some more slots in the coming days.

It is recommended to add a value storage function.

  • Hello, I have a question. I've only purchased prepaid VPS before, and I see that the panel shows the current charges. I'd like to know when this fee will be charged to my credit card. :)

The charge will be deducted on the last day of each month. Will make this more clear on the billing screen - thanks!

Also: password issue is resolved - Debian default user for cloud images is "debian" not "root" :) Updating the panel to be more clear. Appreciate all the feedback thus far!

I guess? I mean, did you know that a nest of Asian hornets can eat over 11kg of bees per day (a part of their diet obviously isn't bees but no one cares about wasps or spiders)?

I usually reinstall (DD) my servers to my own preferred clean OS image. However, on this instance I'm getting an error saying Secure Boot is enabled, which prevents the DD process from working.

No rush on my side — but whenever you have time in the future, it would be great if this Secure Boot feature could be disabled (or made optional for users).
