Thanks for the great information provided I have studied deeply and I’ve came to the conclusion that:

I have DNS blocked imgur. What's the fuss about?

Very high fee can we vote to make it $3/yr

That's actually insane. Does LIR has any chance to appeal this blatant scam? Or is it like .com verisign - I do what I want situation?

I do what I want situation while being "member operated" or whatever you call it.

It's interesting to see that so few members bother to vote.

Obviously large allocation holders had an interest to participate in order to protect their interests. Large members must be over-represented in the vote because who would vote against their own interests?

It's also curious that there never is a proposal to cut down on spending and lower costs for everybody.

    That's not how lobying works.

€50/year ASN fee is here to stay.
We also cannot cancel BuyVM because the network has to have European presence.

Multiple emails over the past month from RIPE were sent to every LIR contact about this as well abilities for remote voting (given a 48 hour window to cast your votes between 20th and 22nd)

Assuming you were getting the RIPE NCC emails into your mailbox, I am struggling to understand how this was overseen/forgotten :(

I think the large resource holders had the exact same interest to keep the fees the same as the smaller resource holders had motivation to get their annual fees decreased.

In fact I am of the opinion that an increase of $10kr EUR per year to someone like Deutsche Telekom is probably negligible in comparison to the impact of a $1k EUR per year decrease for some Joe Blogs LIR. Personally I would assume smaller resource holders had MORE of a motive to go option (B) than large resource holders had to stay with option (A)

I think the NCC even did some basic stats/numbers and showed that approx ~20% LIR will end up paying MORE on Option (B) than if it were to stay option (A) so I assumed that Option (B) will be a clear winner too in this case 🤷

That all said... Some big LIR that holds a almost a /7 worth of IPv4 space like Deutsche Telekom has the same voting power as Joe Blogs LIR who holds a /24 in this case.

Perhaps smaller LIR should band together and sponsor another LIR for a year for the purpose of voting. The difference is only 68 votes

Just need to remember the LIR account needs to be registered 6 months ahead of any future AGM vote (RIPE Policy for voting LIRs)

Charge only per IPv4 and watch the waiting list suddenly become approachable again

Yeah, that's why timing is important. Afterall, a vote costs 1kEUR (assuming the recruited LIR is /24 owner/rental)
