I only see 1 entry (italy) for special bundle LES link.
Ah ok, with bundles you configure 1 product at a time, once you click checkout it will take you to the next location/VPS to configure.
Little confusing I know.
Just for any potential buyers wondering, I've had one of the Miami Windows plans for a month and it's been excellent, far better than any previous similar plan I've had in the past. Very impressed with the performance, and for the price IMO it's excellent value.
@Nekki thanks for the feedback, it is the first feedback for the windows product since it came out of BETA so it is great it is positive.
I deliberately went for a dedicated storage array on the HVM Node to try to keep performance up.
@AnthonySmith the bulk offer includes UK/NL/IT/US-Dallas? But the test IPs you posted are for UK / USA-Phoenix / USA-Miami. Can you post test IPv6 for all four locations of LES?
Hi rm_
Happy to give you them in a PM, being sent now.
Ant.
@AnthonySmith no problem, we're all quick to complain when something's wrong, so it's only proper that we speak up when something's right.
If you ever start doing these (or similar) plans in the UK, you'll have a customer for life :-)
I was thinking I would not buy a LES package because of IPv4 NAT. However, at this price it's very tempting. What about the next location, is it coming up soon? For those of us who jump on this deal, will there be a similar package to add the next location at the same cost?
To be honest matey, it's well worth the outlay without the discount, so why not take advantage of the lovely offer now, then pay full price when the next location comes along and support the programme? Just a suggestion.
@Nekki, in theory I could do it in the UK now, it is on the plan anyway. Give me 24 - 48 hours I will drop you a PM.
@tomle sure it is not for everyone I understand that, you can use port 80 remember, mail is possible with some extra config but no SSL and PPTP VPN's wont work.
The next location will be Japan, a similar bundle will be done at the time.
Xen-HVM, does this work the same way as KVM? I can choose nearly every iso and install it?
@trexos yep pretty much, because PV on HVM drivers have been native in almost all kernels since 2006 you get the better disk performance without having to mess around with virtio drivers too. Xen drivers for Windows are also available now to boost things.
If there is an ISO that you want that is not in solusvm I will add it for you.
Thank you:) and you could offer the Xen HVM package for the same price in the UK?
How much are extra ips?
@trexos €2.50 p/quarter for IP's in the UK.
For Miami extra IP's are difficult, the nodes have a maximum of 64 IP;'s per hardware node and they are 128 GB Ram nodes with 1:1 contention on the Ram so what I tend to do is allow for 1 IP per 2GB Ram, the 1GB packages are limited in number per node based on availability.
This means if for example you ordered the 8GB Ram package for €22.50 you can have up to 4 IP's for free.
Ant.
Ah thank you
@AnthonySmith I'd like to run backup MXs for my domains. Is incoming TCP port 25 open on IPv6? Outgoing port 25 on IPv4/IPv6? Nothing in the FAQ about it.
Is rDNS for IPv6 working in all locations now? From the forum it seems to be working for NL/UK/Dallas. Thanks
Hi @tomle no port blocking on IPv6, you wont be able to use 25 inbound (v4) on LES though.
Frankly I think its a bad idea to use it as a mail server, it is a shared IP after all unless its for personal who cares/ dont need assured delivery MX
do you have another test IP for UK ?
Just for personal needs and experiments. I'd just use IPv6 for incoming and don't expect to be sending any emails at all from these. However, if my primary goes down and mails arrive to these servers, they should be able to forward them to the primary when it comes back up, therefore the question As there's no native IPv6 in Sweden, I'm currently using HE's tunnel but HE are blocking port 25 so it would only work if port 25 out on IPv4 is open. Probably getting these anyway, €10 is not much and I like the project
@tommy sorry my fault, updated it should be .9
Sounds great! Look forward to hearing from you.
This sounds amazing, definitely keep us updated, I will add you to https://romanrm.net/vps/japan
I just ordered a LES VPS a day or two ago and was going to message you to see if I could perhaps pay the difference and get the entire bundle. Do you have an idea of when you will be getting LES set up in JP (and doing the bundle)?
Btw, your LES VPS in Italy are showing up as being 3EUR/year, but the actual amount billed looks like 2.50EUR (even after I refresh the page):
OpenVZ MiniVPS - MiniVPS128 - ITALY
MiniVPS128 - ITALY €2.50EUR
Setup Fees: €0.00EUR
Annually: €2.50EUR
Total Due Today: €2.50EUR
@rm_ nice one thanks, I had a look through your wiki when researching providers, very helpful guide.
@user123 the price reduces only when ordering the bundle, are you saying it reduced when ordering only the IT LES on its own?
I didn't place an order, but that's what it looked like for me, yes.
Ok that would be normal as part of the bundle, I could not replicate it when ordering a single product.
Couldn't resist the bundle at that price. No idea what I am going to use them for but hey it's cheap. IPv6 ISP makes life a bit easier with these but the IPv4 NAT is working fine too.
@abat you could do this: http://forum.lowendspirit.com/viewtopic.php?id=745
