Servprivacy.com a scam story

edited May 19 in General

We tried buying a dedicated server today and although the crypto was received by them the order was left in pending and expired. There's no way to contact them as they require a service purchase beforehand but that's not possible since their system doesn't mark the crypto as received and is either a scam (highly likely) or something else is wrong with the system.

My mistake was rushing it as I was on a discord call at the same time and got distracted.

Proof of payment:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0xaac5c600aabba0cf47a8352918a7d2704aad2354bfc560fdddd3a87d79f522d8

I am posting it here to save others from a similar fate. If anyone has a decent no-kyc host please feel free to share.

Thanks!

I thought you surely had to be joking, so I looked.
    https://servprivacy.com/contact
Yep.. can't even use their website contact form lol.

    We Ignore
    DMCA takedown notices
    Law enforcement requests
    Abuse complaints
    Legal threats
    Automatically discarded. No exceptions.

Ah yes, we ignore law enforcement, with European Union locations. lol.

Looks like they used to have a pre-sale email on their contact page in the past but removed it, so try emailing [email protected].

    Good luck!

unknown hoster with no reviews, domain registered 34 days ago, crypto only payments peak decision making. The red flags were so big they had their own red flags

This is from their trustpilot btw

a little bit of research would have saved you 200$

It's obvious that using cryptocurrency to make purchases is to comply with lenient policies or special requirements.

Yes, 100% right, I saw those but afterwards. I am usually very good at detecting scam but I got distracted by the discord talking about all of this and failed hard lol. This site, I assume, is also pretty shady https://nokyclist.com/ Not able to submit any reviews about the scam company.

Sadly, there's no reply/response of any kind from that email address either apparently but I'll try myself to see.

If anyone has any no-kyc or offshore hosts or suggestions (someone wants to host online gambling and a weed selling site), please feel free to contact me. Thanks!

    Hello.

I made a payment in TON for my order. The transaction is Successful in the blockchain, and it includes the correct comment/memo. However, my balance is still 0.

I cannot contact support directly because your website form says "Support is reserved for customers with at least one active service", and the contact email bounces back.

Please check my payment manually and activate the order.

Order / Invoice ID: Payment #216809

    TON Transaction Hash: c1975febd2f303707c8087562d77424248dc040c62bed2c381b1004833e8cdbe

There was a similar thread (now removed) a few days ago.

iirc it turned out to likely be a scam there :/

Not sure who recommended you the service.

@angstrom why it was deleted? Is revealing scam against the rules?

  • 2GBPS unmetered, 64 GB DDR4, 2x 1TB NVMe for less than $50 a month? And the best thing, fully DMCA and law enforcement ignored 😂😆🤣

OP, I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

It's actually more complicated. I suspect because the OP later (in comments) asked for alternative offers from providers, mentioning purpose that's definitely not allowed within LET rules, mods decided to remove entire thread.

Removing just the offending comment would've probably be a better decision, since the thread would still serve as warning to potential users.

That's because whoever is behind that site, is also behind ServPrivacy

All of the websites highlighted in purple are owned by them... The dedication is wild. They even give some of their websites a lower rating compared to the rest.

And ofc, all of the websites link to this "NoKYCSwap" for SEO value... You can steal a lot more money by just taking it all when they swap.

Why would OP make a new account here to talk about someone they have no affiliation with

    Right?

I am a real customer, not affiliated with them. I just wanted to buy an anonymous VPS and used TON. My payment went through successfully but got stuck. I created this account only because their onsite support form is locked for users with 0 balance, and their official email bounces back.

ps: and last message was translated by gtp, lol

May be we have here any real user on Servprivacy.com to send my message to their admins?

The best part is, I only see one person mentioning them on Reddit

I also found their "sister" site, NoKycVPS, that's also new.

    Schadenfreude.

I am a bit impressed. Somewhere in the world, some kid is making bank on "passive income" ripping off crypto users with no chargeback opportunities.

Those scams are all over the internet. Usually people who deal with servers are less gullible to fall for such traps, but we saw it's not always the case. Do we also need to tell them that the Nigerian prince is not real?

One has a better chance of getting money back from bank with Nigerian scam than crypto.

Sites were not archived by any web archive, the contents here were cached by yandex. Styles are gone, but it was very similar to the sites discussed here.

A bit interesting how quickly the SEO was built, given all those sites are so new. In general I would recommend to stay away from any "100% anonymous crypto only providers" with sites generated by an LLM and domains registered few weeks ago.
I expect in the future there will be more of such scams...

Moral of the story is don’t send money to unknown services believing Discord/Reddit shills.

  • JasonMJasonM Member

yeah.. when paying by crypto always buy the smallest amount service first.
also it seems nokyclist.com and servprivacy.com might be owned by same people.

  • NeowarexNeowarex Member

Yeah very true. The funny thing is because I was distracted on discord I didn't analyze it in detail. I guess getting scammed once was bound to happen eventually after saving people from scams for years :D . Are there trustworthy places that we can use to convert fiat into crypto to buy these services?
