๐ For our existing customers โ make the most of your old promo deals
If you grabbed something from us during Black Week, our Anniversary sale, or any older promo with a locked-in price โ this is the cheapest way to fund the next 12+ months of renewals.
Math is simple: +25% bonus = ~20% effective discount on whatever you pay out of that balance later.
Got a โฌ36/year VPS from a past sale? Top up โฌ100 now โ โฌ125 balance โ covers ~3.5 years of renewals at the original rate. Locked in, no price hike, no surprises. Balance doesn't expire, account doesn't expire โ just sits there until you need it.
Happy to answer anything in the thread โ or drop me a PM if you want to sanity-check whether stocking up now makes sense for your specific setup.

I will open you a small secret - this is pointless, really.
Wow. Prices have skyrocketed!
My server goes down every now and then, There is some connectivity issue going on!
Feel free to open a ticket, i check it out. There are no issues globally.
Im order with os windows sever 2025, received debian 12, cannot reinstall to windows because not option, kvm-#16086
Please open a Ticket, I take a look.
Yeah, Germany is pretty fucked.
Previously you used to get
4v core Genoa
16 GB ram
200 GB ceph at 4.9 euro.
Now look at this. Gosh why I even didn't renew that deal from prohosting24. . .. Now I regret.
Wow, i wasn't surprised but i also didn't know it was that bad. I mean, it's not even like i'm blaming them. HW prices are through the roof and Germany had the brilliant idea of tearing down their nuclear plants to rely on natural gas for energy production (that's not going to end pretty once you cut off your biggest/cheapest supplier and and bunch of geopolitical oopsies happen on top of it...) but when your cheapest plan is effectively 4โฌ/m without having much going for it chances are you won't manage to attract alot of clients...
Edit: One of the few resources Germany actually has a relevant amount of is coal. So maybe they'll start burning more of this in the future. It's a little dirty but should suffice for like 100-200 years at least. Dumb fucks.
Energy costs aren't even necessarily the biggest problem. Right now, it's practically impossible to build a server on a budget. We bought 64GB of DDR4 ECC REG for โฌ80. Now it costs โฌ650 and is also hard to find. That's just one example of what's happening across the entire server hardware sector.
_Hello Stryp,
Thank you for being part of Prepaid-Host. Today we unfortunately have to inform you about a price change for your Rootserver (16 GB RAM, 4 vCPU, 200 GB).
Hardware prices have risen sharply over the past months. Driven by the enormous demand from the AI sector, memory (RAM) and SSD/NVMe storage have at times tripled or even quadrupled in price (in some cases more than +300%), and server hardware from major manufacturers has also gone up by double-digit percentages
several times. On top of that comes the ongoing hardware wear and tear: components have to be replaced and renewed regularly to keep your server running reliably.
For these reasons we can no longer offer this package at the previous price of โฌ4.99/month. To keep the service running at the quality you are used to, we have to adjust the price:
Current: โฌ4.99/month
New from 01 July 2026: โฌ6.99/month
Nothing else changes for you: the performance, specifications and location of your server stay exactly the same. The new price applies to all renewals from 01 July 2026 onwards โ please make sure your balance is sufficient for the next renewal.
If you do not agree with this price change, you are of course free to simply let your server expire or not renew it at any time before 01 July 2026 โ no further costs will arise for you.
We know that price increases are never pleasant, and we have postponed this step for as long as possible. Thank you very much for your understanding and your trust.
If you have any questions, we are always here for you โ open a ticket in your customer panel.
Best regards,
Your Prepaid-Host Team_
40% price hike next month. My server lasted a long-long time, and even with the increase, the specs and performance are unmatched, so I'm staying.
Maybe @PrepaidHost can advise people here which packages are affected. I bought an older deal, not this one, but it might affect all of them.
Hey Stryp,
thank you, that genuinely means a lot. Long-time customers like you are exactly the reason we try to keep these older deals alive for as long as we possibly can.
To answer your question for everyone reading along: right now the increase only
affects the packages that are actually running at a loss for us โ specifically
the 4 vCore / 16 GB RAM / 200 GB NVMe plans at โฌ4.99/mo. At today's hardware
costs those simply aren't sustainable at that price anymore. Everything else we
are leaving untouched for now and will do our best to keep it that way.
We really didn't take this lightly. The market is genuinely rough at the moment
โ the โฌ80 โ โฌ650 jump for 64 GB DDR4 ECC I mentioned above isn't an outlier,
it's pretty much the norm across the whole server hardware sector right now. We
held off as long as we could before touching any prices at all.
If anyone is unsure whether their specific package is affected, just open a
ticket with your server ID and we'll let you know right away.
Thanks again for sticking with us, Stryp!
I don't like this. The costs shouldn't be passed on to existing customers, they should be built into the prices for new customers... I chose this provider specifically because of their motto when they launched their promotion back in March last year:
"โ Renewable: Same price for renewals โ no surprises."
Fair point, and I won't argue it away.
The honest reason: it's not just RAM. The whole AI hype/crunch has driven up NVMe, full server hardware from the big OEMs, and ongoing component replacement too โ RAM is just the most extreme single example (~โฌ80 โ โฌ650 for 64 GB ECC in under a year). Pretty much every larger host has had to raise prices over the past months, and most of them on existing customers across the board. We've deliberately kept it to this one package โ the 4 vCore / 16 GB / 200 GB plans โ and left everything else untouched.
Most people have actually been understanding about it, because โฌ6.99 for those specs is still a fair price. But I get that the promise wording stings regardless, and the thumbs-down is fair if you still disagree.
Increase starts 01 July. Balance never expires, so topping up before then locks in the current rate for however long you fund it.
