not sure we all believe the rogue employee bit, dunno if you should list it as fact.
Pardon me but didn't they say this themselves that their customer employee was the one who did the chargeback.
Or perhaps you are suggesting the possibility that as we can't confirm this as fact (but just something stated by @Dasabo)
are you alluding to the possiblity that this whole thing might be something fishy created by @Dasabo themselves as it lines up with the OU being acquired by SRL
I didn't wish to present these as facts but rather what Dasabo has stated has happened from their side. Obviously one might take it as a grain of salt when their service is literally chargebacking thousands of dollars worth of amount.
I mean we are also left unsure if the data of the customers already there is literally safe or not. Dasabo states that the employee doesn't want criminal charges as that would cross into that but I suppose charging for thousands of dollars already seem to be crime and making people lose hundreds of dollars (I suppose?)
I don't know, at a certain point, I might get it from their standpoint but I recommend people who are using dasabo to be extra secure.
Like, just the .1% possibility which probably is higher that something like this can be repeated just simply doesn't make me wish to use it or recommend it.
The reputational damage is just about done at this point.
I remember when veloxmedia had first started to go deadpool there was some intentional effort that this is just a change in hands and nothing too much, it was all fine and everything.
It felt like a strategy to delay as many chargebacks as possible, and some people lost money in all of that as velox effectively after all of that deadpooled for all intents and purposes.
And I remember Veloxmedia also pulling some (iirc) we will leave LET or something, and Dasabo seems to be doing this too :-/
Not a good look. About the worst look you can get in an industry which although is about servers, but deeper than servers is about trust.
Yeah, they said that and i personally still strongly favor the relationship arc but then we just don't have enough solid information.
That's not how I imagine internal collaborator
None of it passes the sniff test for me, Occam's razor man.
That can be true, it doesn't pass my sniff test too for what its worth. Its definitely still suspicious a bit to say the least.
Exactly... but then things changed!
Where to donate to get one of those dolls?
Since they refunded on stripe why the 230 usd was lost? did they issue a partial refund?
Great, he sent an email with the NEW prices, so I guess its Goodbye !
Please share for the plebs amongst us.
Dear Valued Customer,
We are writing to inform you of an upcoming adjustment to our pricing structure across our VPS product lines (AMD, Intel, and Windows) and promotional plans.
At Dasabo, we are committed to providing high-performance infrastructure and reliable support. However, over the past year, the industry has faced a significant and sustained increase in global energy costs and hardware procurement expenses, specifically regarding RAM modules and enterprise-grade storage (SSD/NVMe).
To maintain the quality, security, and performance standards you expect from us, we find it necessary to align our rates with these current operational costs.

I would be fucking fuming LOL
Wut?
Going to go ahead and quote myself on this one...
This is quite the goodbye ! And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who WON'T renew
At their new pricing it's just not worth it to stick around. Plenty of proven to be reliable alternatives around.
Yikes. Gotta love those 220% increases. Besides what the fuck is
supposed to mean?
Maybe I should make some offers to buy out their IP space... They sure ain't gonna need them after that.
Youll pay even more if you're from Europe, now that they're in Italy.
Not sure but I don't think their ip space reputation is the best. Could be wrong though. Never bothered to try them.
no you dont ! you cancel !! #followmeformorefinancialadvice
Ah, yeah, international customers, right. They were already in the EU before though and i'm not 100% sure but i think they would be required to show prices including VAT inside the EU (don't ask me how that's supposed to work when companies have to charge people depending on their country of residence's VAT rate... it's all in all just very messy).
I'm a good bean... I'll get those fixed
well that's quite the cherry on the sundae, lol.
