@Chunkserve They haven't delivered the server to me; it's been 3 days since the payment was made, it's already been approved, but they still haven't delivered it.
You opened a thread. There is no need to bump other threads too. And don't forget to contact their support before complaining on forums.
I understand that some people are compaining about support response times. I am not here to lie, that this is perfect. Regarding this situation, I replied around midnight today (00:06 if I remember correctly), and my current reply (~17:40) was in less than 24 hours. I would love to resolve the case either by activation & compensation or full refund.
Many bad reviews and seems node / location matters
But if my words mean anything, solid provider. Bought a yearly deal personally had 0 downtime (that i notice), it’s not a prod machine it’s a insanely good deal without having to refresh a forum for 5 hours on a special event. Not noticed CPU steal, or network problems.
(Tickets take long time, expect 1-20 day response) but to be honest, at least when he replies he isn’t hustling you around, asking a silly question that was already in your message he just get’s it done.
After the massive problems with the server in Amsterdam, I was given a free replacement server in the SkyLink Data Center in Eygelshoven (Zuid-Limburg).
Shortly after Wojciech asked me about the performance, the server went down. Every time, I have to reboot it, and then after a few hours it goes offline again.
I use the server for AzuraCast. To conserve resources and reduce RAM usage, I already reduced the specs to a minimum. Nevertheless, the server keeps going offline.
I was promised help, but then the tickets simply stopped being answered.
I'm quite disappointed.
mine been down and up for some weeks now, atm down for 24h guess its done for lol
I don't know why anyone would use Chunkserve for anything in the Netherlands. There are better and cheaper services for that which have far more reliability, since the Netherlands is not a rare location at all. Poland isn't "rare" either per se, but it's less common. I'd recommend people only buy the Polish location from here, as the downtime is not quite as bad as their NL location, and the price is good.
For 2 cores 4 GB of RAM and 50 GB SSD I paid 15,99 euros per year.
Do you have a better and cheaper alternative in NL?
I get similar specs from Deluxhost for a similar price. They have frequent promos and better uptime. But if the Chunkserve uptime issues are acceptable for you (as they are for me, since my workload is just traffic relaying and does not require high reliability), then there's no reason to switch.
Not trying to scare anyone away from Chunkserve. On the contrary, I'm very happy with my PL server with them. I'm just a bit surprised people would be getting their NL location (which is not even where they are based) and then getting bothered by the downtime.
I have both Chunkserve and Deluxhost and I am happy overall. Occasionally they go silent for days, but in most cases the waiting time is less than 6 hours. For the money they ask (less than 1.5 euros a month for 2/4/40) they are unbeatable.
Not experiencing any downtime issues for the past year or so (other than that their ns1.chunkserve.com is down most of the time).
Was it a special offer? Since I do not see anything interesting on their website in PL.
You are very lucky.
I’ve had truly 0 downtime on my VPS, guess depends which node your on
https://billing.chunkserve.com/index.php?rp=/store/let-vm-special
his specials keep coming back in stock, his price is certainly good. "E5-2695v4” node seems more stable than the Gold Xeon nodes.
You are very lucky.
Mine recently started hanging as soon as there's any CPU load whatsoever. Like, above 10% for 3 seconds => RIP. I suspect this is an over-zealous anti-abuse system, that keeps insanely oversold nodes somehow operating.
Yesterday I started "apt-get update" and it hang due to that. Then I went to the panel and discovered that Start/Stop/Reboot VPS functionality is not working, and the Virtualizor panel doesn't load at all.
So after that I got so mad with it, that I clicked Immediate cancellation, burning about $2. Wrote in the cancellation message to the effect that given the conditions it would be fair for me to have a refund of that, but I don't have any hope they do, and it's not a huge sum in any case.
Hey! For any cases regarding refunds, please create a ticket. Cancelation on the panel does not equal such request.
I messaged you about migrating to the VF node that works better. Indeed, there was no response from me (despite I messaged you even here on DM), but I saw your message later to not move the server.
Let's hop on DMs/ticket to solve your case.
