BuyVM credit deducted but no active VPS service available

FYZFYZ Member

Hello,

I would like to ask for advice regarding an unresolved issue with BuyVM.

Timeline:

  • My original VPS service was cancelled.
  • Since the payment was made through Alipay, the balance was converted into account credit instead of being refunded.
  • Support later manually provisioned a replacement VPS for me.
  • However, the replacement VPS was removed again shortly afterward.
  • The account credit has already been deducted, but there is currently no active VPS service available in my account.
  • I followed up through the support ticket, but I have not received a response for more than 72 hours.

I understand that smaller providers may sometimes experience delays, and I am not trying to create drama. I would simply appreciate clarification regarding the deducted balance and the missing VPS service.

Support Ticket ID: #117619

Thank you.

Well you’ve come to the right place because we’ve created an environment where responding to threads fast is super important as its public but tickets not so much leading to tickets largely being replaced with LET

I’m sure you’ll get help within a few minutes and thanks for participating in this new evolvement of LowEndTalk as a forum

That'll be 5 $7/y dedis and 1 year free for everyone in this thread. Glad to do business.

Pretty sure Akash has sorted the OP, we'll see. Odd one, it for sure sounds like WHMCS went back and bit the OP a 2nd time.

Thanks for creating your LET support ticket! Once again we prove it’s way more effective than using the helpdesk offered by the provider.

In the future I suggest you don’t even create a ticket but rather go straight to LET.

Note that this simple trick works for all providers.

Please flag your thread if you’d like to close your ticket and mark the issue as resolved.

    Thanks,
    Your Personal Helpdesk @ LowEndTalk.com

    Quick update:

The VPS service has now been restored and has been running stably for over 36 hours. I appreciate the assistance from both the community and BuyVM support.

I will continue monitoring the service, but for now the issue appears to be resolved.

    Thank you.

This is really good. You should ask your manager to raise your salary. Please request a 150% increase.

I'm curious if you're suggesting that people shouldn't be doing this? This is a well respected provider. Other hosts are begging users for service transfers to get their hands on a VPS. So a provider with a good reputation let this guy's ticket just sit there for 3 days with no response and no extant service. This thread finally got them off their asses. It feels like you're shaming the user for doing what worked.
