I'm not planning to run a hentai website; I was simply looking for a platform where I could upload adult content because the VPS Price Tracker offers a “Porn” option.

Is Singapore's speed and Service Likely Japan?

How about you tell me? I'm not the one stating "Japan only" but then goes "no Singapore". I don't know if the people in Singapore stole your bicycle or whatever but in the end they are fine Japanese citizens just like everyone in Tokyo or Osaka and should be treated as such. This smells of bigotry.

I'm sorry. My English isn't very good, so I think there might have been a bit of a misunderstanding. I certainly didn't have any preconceived notions about your country. If I made you feel uncomfortable, I apologize.

I see. So the people in Singapore are not more or less Japanese than every other Japanese citizen, right? At this point i don't think you meant any harm but we need to get this straight. There's sadly way too many hateful people around these days...

i don't see any provider offer Japan VPS/VDS with both NVMe and HDD storage

maybe you should change your site setting, put the upload content to another storage box

Are there any other options besides an HDD?

sure, use object storage, usually cost around $5-$6 per TB per month

and honestly, if you use Cloudflare CDN ( i think you have to use it, because Korea do not allow porn content ), there is no difference between Japan and Singapore, your visitors all get content from CF edge server which located in Japan or Korea

so if you can use Singapore server, check this site https://onidel.com, the have 1TB HDD block storage for $3 and 1TB object storage for $5

I apologize for asking such a basic question, but is it possible to use separate storage for the data and the database, and for the storage where Core runs?

Just to add some context from Korea: major CDN providers operating in Korea, including Cloudflare, are required to support blocking for restricted content when requested through the Korean government system.

As far as I can tell, Cloudflare’s blocking system for Korean IP users is already deployed and actively operating. So Cloudflare should not really be viewed as a bypass or protection against local regulations. If a site is not reported through that system, there usually should not be an issue, but once it is, Korean IP users may be restricted.

Also, unless you are on Cloudflare Enterprise, Cloudflare’s Korea edge is generally not enabled for your zone. Korean users are usually served from nearby PoPs such as Japan instead.

    Hi @y100mean

It's perfectly fine to ask questions :)

The decoupling of storage and the database is actually a standard architecture for services with large storage requirements. The database can run on the fast NVMe storage of a VPS, while object storage is used for bulk data (like Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, or even a self-hosted solution like garage). The one caveat to this is that your software needs to have native support for S3-compatible APIs.

Going even further, you may even use a managed database (or a separate dedicated server for the DB) to fully isolate your resources. This completely decouples your application, meaning that heavy file uploads or application traffic will never compete with your database for CPU, RAM, or disk speed. While I don't think this would strictly be necessary for your case, it's always something to consider.

Thank you very much for recommendation, however I feel we may not be the best fit for this use-case. Onidel's Acceptable Use Policy does not allow to serve pornographic content from our network.

If you require strictly Japan location (excluding the HDD requirement), I would recommend looking either at greencloud ( @NDTN @haodo ) or kuroit ( @ManishPant @kuroit )

YES, it is possible, i don't know what forum software you use, you may need some forum plugin to do it because default setting is use local storage, you can ask your forum software provider for details.

it's not very hard to do it, just use AI, it's a very simple task

well, not like China, Korea has very good connection to Japan, i saw very very big Korea porno site streaming HLS via cloudflare, so CF Japan edge is good enough for Korea people

Does onidel have any plans to expand into Japan? I’m very interested in the products you offer, and Japan seems to lack (or perhaps I just haven’t seen many) cost-effective services like flexible block storage. If onidel expands into Japan, I’ll definitely grab some chicken.
