    Yes in most cases, but some scenarios have other meanings.

    屄 = Thank you.
    傻屄 = Thank you very much.

    This is crazy...I thought it'd add a misdirection tip. :o

    I didn't want to start a new thread, but perhaps one of LowEndTalk's Cultural Consultants can chime in:

    Why is it on major Chinese sites, like AliExpress, Alibaba, Tencent, etc that the default action for most inner-site links is to open a new tab?

    My theory is to force the user to consume more RAM, think computer is inadequate, buy new computer or computer hardware. China profit.

    I guess to make it easier to compare item listings with others?

    Because you would end up comparing the offers? This isn't like Amazon where an SKU can contain multiple offers.
    Also, clicked the link -> go back -> wasted compute time to generate the listing/get cached result
    I hate SEO garbage, whether it's search engine, marketplace, or delivery apps
    Edit: and lowend computing trade post

    I'm pretty sure this is due to poor web design; these Chinese companies shifted their traffic entirely to mobile apps a long time ago. If you change the way their <a> tags are set to _self using DevTools and go back to the previous page using the back button, you'll find that you lose your browsing history, and some websites even have their timelines completely refreshed.
