  Significantly depends on downtime longevity - I don't expect anything serious to happen for a downtime of up to 1 day.

  Its gonna get funny, when we are down to 7 day certs and lets encrypt is down for a week.

  Just tell your people to click proceed unsafe what could go wrong back in the day there was no https, ssl .
