Looking for Long Term KVM VPS in the UK or Netherlands
Hi all, I'm looking for a KVM VPS in either Coventry, England or Amsterdam, Netherlands. I understand it may be hard to achieve at my cost to specs, but no harm in trying.
Side Note/Requirement: Debian 13 is a must-have option for OS Installation.
Preferred Specs:
Number of Cores/VCPUs: 1 or 2 (depending on CPU, most likely just 1 though)
RAM: 3-4 GB
Disk Space: 25GB (minimum)
Disk Type: SSD
Bandwidth: 100 GB (minimum)
Port Speed: 50Mbps (minimum)
DDoS Protection: Don't Need it
Number of IPs: 1 Ipv4 and Ipv6
Location: Coventry, England or Amsterdam, Netherlands. (Possibly open to other UK/Netherlands Locations)
Budget/Billing period: 35$/Triennially (Basically less than $12/pa)
I am happy/very willing to lock in for longer with trusted providers if possible/allowed, and am open to negotiation.
The Reason for my Budget is that I currently have another VPS at $12/pa with the specs below, and I'm tryna see if I can beat this.
3 vCore E5-2695v4
3 GB DDR4 RAM
25 GB SSD
2Gbps Port Speed
10TB Bandwidth
Thank you for reading ![]()

now I don’t support male prostitution but you gotta do what you gotta do to increase that budget a little.. it’s tight
10/10 comment lmao
I get it's tight, but with the other VPSes I have, it doesn't seem worthwhile for me to spend more for similar/less specs
35$/Triennially
Goodluck man
What are you doing with 50mbps and 100GB of BW?
Just hosting a private panel for myself, so idrc about the port speed or bandwidth too much, I didn't want to shuffle around the stuff on my other VPSes cause it's a bit more RAM-heavy compared to the usual stuff I have
Its going to be pretty hard finding a hosting provider able to do triennially at that price.
What kind of sketchy stuff are you doing that requires those two very specific and somewhat different locations? Not that I care, it's just curious.
Nothing sketchy
, just looking for something close to me/in a well-connected EU location.
I think @SKRIME .99 eur or 1.49 eur per month vps is the closest you will get.
Why are you asking? Is there anything sketchy about requiring a VPS located in western europe?
Your budget is very low if you are expecting something from a serious provider. Otherwise, you may end up paying $35 and the provider will deadpool within a year
I have one or two deals with these specs, or better, in this price range from reputable providers, but they were flash sale offers from back when hardware was much cheaper.
So either increase your budget or stick with your current provider.
I pretty clearly indicated that I was just curious. The two locations aren't exactly similar. Why wouldn't another location in the UK work just as well as Coventry? My tone was pretty clearly playful considering that I qualified the question. Ultimately, I do not care what this user is doing. However, maybe I could have learned something that would help me do my own sketchy shit.
just didn’t really get why you asked, since the locations requested by the op are fairly common.
but you are right. "either Coventry, England" even though coventry is already in England.
That said, coventry is often a cheap location because ukservers is present there, and commonly used for low cost offers in England. Maybe that’s the reason. Or maybe it’s just a geography knowledge issue
Who do you have those specs with for $12/y?
It does not seem sustainable at all. For such config i would expect to pay at least $5/m given the current prices. (unless that's some crazy promo)
@VeloxMedia I guess
Nuh, probably not. I do have a super-cheap triennal VPS with @VeloxMedia (in roughly that price range) but it's quite different from what OP describes.
Btw., in case this created desire, nope, forget it, because prices seems to have increased quite a bit (but the VPS and their service is good).
That said I highly likely wouldn't go for a super-cheapy (as spec'd in OP) anymore nowadays, except if it was a promotion by a provider I trust and have positive experience with.
Why Coventry over e.g. Redditch or some other UK location? (I don't imagine you'd get London at that price, but...)
I forgot to hit send oops
Locations are somewhat local, but the ping difference for other UK/NL locations would most likely be small, which is why I was open to other locations within the UK
ChunkServe, Ik they haven't got the greatest of reps, but it gets the job done.
Gotcha. I strongly suspect that all traffic from Coventry will be routed via London (unless it's in the same datacentre), so I'd suggest considering all UK (or at least England) locations.
I managed to reduce the RAM needed, so ig I'm no longer looking. Thanks for the funny and judgmental comments, lmao. Hope y'all have a good day.
