SalmonCloud shutting down
Just received this announcement:
Dear Valued Customer,
We are writing to share an important update regarding SalmonCloud Ltd.
After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cease all operations at the end of this month, with services concluding on 1 June 2026.
This decision has not been made lightly. Over an extended period, the company has faced continuous financial losses and a gradual depletion of available funding. At the same time, the increasing demands of our team members’ day jobs have significantly reduced the time and energy we are able to dedicate to maintaining and growing SalmonCloud. Taken together, these factors mean that continuing operations is no longer sustainable.
We would also like to note that we are currently operating with a reduced team. As a result, response times may be longer than usual, and we kindly ask for your patience while we work through all support requests during this period.
Refunds and Active Services
If you have active products that extend beyond 31 May 2026, you are eligible for a prorated refund covering the remaining portion of your billing cycle after this date.
To receive your refund promptly, please open a support ticket requesting it.
Refunds will be calculated based on the unused time remaining after 1 June 2026.
If you choose not to request a refund immediately, your services will continue to run until the end of this month. After shutdown, any remaining days in the billing cycle will still be refunded on a prorated basis.
Please note that for payments made via cryptocurrency, we are unable to issue refunds unless you provide a valid wallet address. If this applies to you, kindly include your wallet details when submitting your support ticket.

Building and operating SalmonCloud has been an incredibly meaningful journey, and we are deeply thankful to have had you as part of it.

Haven't we been through this before?
Apparently, they undeadpooled and now unundeadpooled.
Rumor says Salmon is a division of Spirit Airlines, so this isn’t surprising.
Good on them for for giving a full month to look for other options. Tough market to succeed in long term, especially with hardware prices increasing.
