Wasmer or Vercel?
in General
I am about to hit the free limit of Vercel (been just 1 month of launch. Site is growing at a fast pace).
But I just discovered Wasmer. We have a React app with high CPU usage. Wasmer is offering 50 hours of Active CPU for free while Vercel offers 16 hours on pro plan. Should we switch to Wasmer?
It is mostly about reliability. There is no issue upgrading to premium plan of Vercel but if I can save with the free plan of Wasmer then why not.
Is Wasmer trusted? How's the reliability and speed. Which host is gonna be the best for SEO purpose as latency probably matters.

wait few more days, i am launching new paas. all region covered (europe, asia, us, uk and ocenia). pricing will start at 2.5 EUR.
Typical PaaS offers bad price-performance. It's time to graduate
Didn't Vercel also just suffer a bad hack? Wouldn't trust them much now
Just migrate to CloudFlare pages with workers or setup own stack on LET VPS.
the issue is not the money. ofcourse if i can save a bit it is good. but can't compromise on speed and SEO, and uptime.
Had a VPS man. too hard to manage. looking for easier solution like Vercel, Netlify. someone who can guarantee great speeds, and uptime.
that's why considering cloudflare. apart from rare big downtimes, cloudflare is probably the only one i never heard getting hacked.
it's all about reliability. it's hard to deal with a VPS for someone not nerdy enough.
If money is not a problem then every solution will be great for you. Choose AWS, GCP or Azure and deploy you app do multiple regions. If you have SEO problem then it is your fault because every host will be working almost the same.
It's not about "nerdy", it's whether you want to learn or not. Claude or codex could help you set up with budget of $5~25. Even GCP/AWS/Azure/CF went down for hours a year (99.9% or less uptime)
Statistically, owning several 99.9% vps (with different host, different upstream, different region) will yield better uptime (plus DB replicas)
thats the plan. new gen hardware, each node is min 10 Gbps on premium network across every region with great peering. at scale you can handle billions of users with multiple replicas and 100% uptime with low ping.
currently internal test ongoing for a while. and i am working on this for so long.
see status page, (main site not published).
Money is not an issue but ofcourse if a great host like cloudflare or vercel can do the job for free then why pay? Until my site grows big > @sayem314 said:
sorry mate looking for established companies only at the moment not new ones.
buy VPS install Coolify on it and you will be able to manage your projects exactly like on Vercel
