DeluxHost - Two 2 vCore Xeon Gold 6122 8GB/80GB/10Gbit and One 2 vCore Ryzen 9 995 8GB/40GB/10Gbit

edited April 30 in Service Transfers

Hello

I have the following VPSs, I am looking to transfer. Decent performance, good EU connectivity and good support Team (very responsive, to me at least )

There is an issue with consistent uptime as I have few websites running I need longer duration of uptime i.e. a few months consistent uptime. However with DeluxHost since these are not Production/Enterprise nodes/offers these do not meet my requirements in terms of uptime consistency.

Location: Amsterdam

Offer node: B-4 (Renew - 15th Aug 2026) - Renews on €18/annually
Core: 2 vCore Intel Xeon Gold 6122
RAM: 8GB DDR4 ECC
Storage: 80GB SSD
Bandwidth: 10Gbit/s
Unlimited Fair Use
Asking price: £10 + any transfer fees

Yes it is 2vCPU - yabs also show that, most likely bad timing for me to run with steal happening in the background.

Could be right, CPU type doesn't matter with DeluxHost.

Weren't you complaining about how unstable they were for you and your clients can't handle that much "downtime"? And good performance with these Geekbench results, hm. They are still cheap and good enough for the price, but don't advertise them as anything else, you even said otherwise.

    That's insanely low. 2x 9950x should be around 5000 multi-core.

  • Normally 9950x single core is over 3.000. On a good provider is between 3100-3300.

And multi core so above 5.000.

Maybe better open a ticket with Deluxhost, because 800 single core is crazy low.

Yes agree, I think the new owner can work it out with DeluxHost (they are proactive support). I just want to free up some of my time 😁

My W series with Deluxhost is around 2300 single core and a bit over 4000 for multi core. Crazy low. But, not sooo bad. Still better than a Milan or Intel Gold or Pentium or Ev5.

That's why I say to open a ticket. Because it can go better. I know all are heavily oversold, but may be better.

I opened a ticket. The performance did improve in my case but is still pretty horrible. I'm talking ~1K multicore for a 4 vCPU machine. Earlier it was ~500 which is basically unacceptable. Even though there was a performance improvement, it is very minimal. I don't know how an 4 vCPU Intel Platinum can get just 1K multicore.

I think Deluxhost has a problem with overselling. I have another VPS with similar specs (except CPU) and price from another company. The CPU in this other company is 3 vCPU Intel Gold and I get ~1.7K geekbench 6 multicore. Meanwhile I feel Deluxhost is also trying to fix things proactively. For now I've asked support to re-check my CPU. Pretty sure 4 vCPU can't perform this bad. Let's see the outcome.

It's just all over the place across DeluxHosts offering, so you maybe have luck or you don't. I suppose support is trying what they can, but for the price, I wouldn't even bother most of the times tbh.

  • Copy/paste from their offer for W servers " Ultra low-cost plans, don’t expect high performance, built for basic usage only."
If you have this in mind and you don't mind the ups and downs, they are fun for learning and experimenting.

Is there a difference between B and Z 4 (Other than expiry time)? I can't see any differences but I might just be blind

Yes exactly the same just expiry difference

  • For W-4 I have raised a ticket and they are going to love it to a better node, which should improve the scores drastically as well.

Throw 8 people on these 4 cores and here you go...

Update; They fixed my problem and my performance is back to normal.

Now I'm getting 587 single core and 1930 multicore.

  • I have also open a ticket and they are going to migrate my Ryzen VPS as well. So hopefully it will get better too.

    Is this a long-established supplier?

I believe they have been around since at least August 2024~. They may have been under a different name before then, though.
