I Still Remeber Stroj https://www.storj.io/pricing Has Cheap ~4$/TB Pricing As Alternative.
But it seems they Already increase Price To ~10$/TB
and No one Noticed, is no one using them?
https://mega.io/en/pricing#individual
11€ for 3 TB, can get cheaper for annually and bigger plan.
Server locations: https://mega.io/en/server-locations
im migrated from hetzner to https://intercolo.net/en/object-storage
I cannot for the life of me understand why anybody would use Storj.
Also, apparently Storj only very loosely defines where data is stored. Performance must be all over the place.
Thanks, I missed the part about them having a Sweden location. Can you select a region? Any experiences with the performance and latency?
Germany isn't in the Nordics...
Sadly, you don't get to choose where your data are stored for the "normie" interface, they'll be distributed across multiple data centers.
For the S3 service, they only have 4 endpoints across 3 countries, none of which are Nordic countries. They are expanding their global S3 endpoints, though.
Performance wise, they're really solid. I live in Vietnam, so the closet data center they have is Japan, and they're the only few provider that can saturate my gigabit network connection when downloading other than Google Drive and Pixeldrain. For the upload part, I can upload a 1.5 GB file from a Google Cloud VM instance in Netherlands in under 10 seconds.
Haven't done a S3 benchmark though, you can refer to S3Compare (beware, this website is most likely a marketing scheme to promote their ridiculously expensive 70$/TB storage service from ZeroServices).
can u recommend intercolo?
