I have several SuperMicro cases in which (E)ATX fits and that have dual power supply.
Anyway: back to what the topic was... if a data center/provider has issues on it's core network when 1 UPS fails, then it's basically a fail for that data center/provider.
Is it sure that the datacenter has a ups fail?
I thought he was hosting his servers in Skylink, but that might just be outdated (as far as I know, Skylink DC didn't experience a power outage.)
Yes

Hi guys, yes, its true the grid was gone for a couple of minutes. Due to many clients fill up their racks at maximum in the couple of months, our UPS in datacenter A are running at maximum. We did order new ups 4 months ago, but it takes his time to get them delivered and bring them to Service. We already ordered a stop of more electricity usage couple months ago, but unfortunately it was not early enough. So the batteries of one ups couldnt handle the load. So this ups did shut down and all load did go to the second ups which then also failed. We expect to get the new ups System running within next 2 weeks and then we can offload our current ups Systems.
So the blame is not at hostslick ❤️
Parallel to that we also build up our next datacenter D which will be ready within 2 more months.
We have already a huge waiting list of clients for this datacenter as well.
has anyone's vps boot up again? i can't access mine, rescue didn't work, every time i click start vps the panel throws error without explaining what was the error.
Hello @wii747 , I heard that HostShield might be in the same datacenter as HostSlick. Were they also affected by the outage on the 23rd?
Could you possibly check if they are still up and running? My VPS (78.41.139.203) has been unreachable for 4 days now, and I’ve received zero support response so far.
nope, same boat. vps went dark and no furher comms from the provider. i figure out whats going on in the forum rather than they give updates about the progress on the incident.
VPS is still down. No ETA or response from them on when it will be up and running again.
have a dedicated i relied on.. still down. I had to restore and move all services to a different host.
Aaand VPS is down. Again.
Same, I came on here to check because I figured it would be a faster way to find out.
just a ball of excuses whats new
Hi guys, unfortunately the grid was gone again and one ups couldnt handle it again. The ups company is already informed and coming next days to fix this ups.
Unfortunately the public grid seems recently very unstable.
Yes ours is down too. Same datacenter as HostSlicks.
Wait, you got the VPS up after the power outage? Mine is down since April 23.
Abandon ship!
My vps is back online again, but my support ticket reporting the vps was down is deleted, not even marked as completed nor reply from HostSlick. Something isn't right...
Are you really 100% certain of that?
yeah right.
You’ve misunderstood what Skylink was saying and just responded without knowing the correct context. You’re treating this as a HostSlick VPS issue and assuming Skylink is making excuses, which isn’t the case. HostSlick isn’t the only provider colocating hardware at the Skylink data center and multiple providers were affected. This outage is related to the data center itself, not HostSlick. There’s no reason for the DC to fabricate this, and we were impacted as well and many others. Happened 23rd April too. The issue is scheduled to be resolved by the data center next week, as they’ve confirmed. Be patient things like this can happen. No need to transmit negativity.

Dear Valued Customers,
We would like to inform you about another power outage that occurred today at arround 08:00 CET for a few minutes.
Similar to the previous incident on 23th April 2026, this was caused by a short power outage affecting our racks. Unfortunately, the UPS system did not take over again.
According to our data center provider, the root cause has been identified as a faulty UPS system with degraded batteries. In combination with recent instability in the public power grid, this led to the failure of the backup system during the interruption. In combination with recent instability in the public power grid, this led to the failure of the backup system during the interruption. Under normal circumstances, the power grid in this region is considered stable, which makes these recent events particularly unusual.
As with the previous incident, the outage itself lasted only a few minutes. However, several systems did not recover automatically. Some switches and servers required manual intervention, and a small number of systems are currently undergoing filesystem checks (fsck) to ensure data integrity.
The UPS system suppler has already been informed by our datacenter and is expected to resolve the issue within the coming days.
We keep asking updates from our datacenter and will inform you as soon as the issue is resolved.
In order to minimize the impact of any potential further incidents, a Staff member team is dispatched and will remain near the data center throughout the coming week to ensure immediate response if required. We are continuing to work closely with the data center provider to stabilize all services as quickly as possible.
Due to the high volume of support requests related to this incident, response times may be delayed. Once issues related to this outage are resolved, tickets may be closed without individual follow-up.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and rest assured taking care ot the issue
Best regards,
HostSlick

After my server went down, my Client Area login no longer worked until I reset the password. After that I started the VPS.
