Host4Fun 8GB VPS in Raleigh NC Was $55/year

I find I don't need this:

Basic System Information:

Uptime : 0 days, 0 hours, 2 minutes
Processor : Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6254 CPU @ 3.10GHz
CPU cores : 2 @ 3092.732 MHz
AES-NI : ✔ Enabled
VM-x/AMD-V : ✔ Enabled
RAM : 7.8 GiB
Swap : 0.0 KiB
Disk : 58.9 GiB
Distro : Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Kernel : 6.8.0-31-generic
VM Type : KVM
IPv4/IPv6 : ✔ Online / ❌ Offline

IPv4 Network Information:

ISP : H4Y Technologies LLC
ASN : AS397373 H4Y Technologies LLC
Host : H4Y Technologies LLC
Location : Charlotte, North Carolina (NC)
Country : United States

I paid $55 out of this thread here:

https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/215958/h4f-special-5-vps-offer-free-upgrade-up-to-8gb-ram-multiple-locations#latest

I checked with the host, and this can be transferred. I purchased March 26, 2026.

What is worth to you? Make me an offer.

Le me quote @MTUser2012 for you:

Since discovering YABS, why would you buy anything without a YABS score?

  • deafcondeafcon Member

I think the biggest thing you've done wrong is not put that this is a transfer in the title. I suspect many users are like me and don't browse by post category.

I can post the whole thing to, and yes, it my opinion this a lemon. However, please note that I am not saying pay me what I paid for it $55. Instead I am saying make me an offer. Maybe all I get is $10. It is going at that price. It is an expensive lesson to me - read sellers TOS, DON'T buy things without YABS.

We got 2 votes actually and one was not eligible, so vote count became 1 :'(

We apply disk I/O limits across all VPS plans as part of our fair usage policy. This is done to maintain consistent performance and stability for all users on the node. Our nodes are not oversold, and there are no underlying performance issues. (Disk AUP)

For this VPS limit is set to :
    Total IOPS: 3,500 IOPS
    Read speed: 650 MB/s
    Write speed: 650 MB/s

If the OP can share a YABS result, it would help make things much clearer.

@RIYAD (host4fun) is definitely not a bad provider despite not getting many votes in the poll. The only reason I didn't mention them in provider poll thread is because no ipv6 = no vote from me.

However I have a service with them running with no issues for almost 6 months now. And they have also been active on LET (and as a brand) for a long time without major complaints from users.

    Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, there are a few things we’re missing, notably IPv6, $7/year & unsustainable deals.

  • Performance can be subjective. I don't want it. I don't think it performs well in real life, I want to get rid of it. At this point in my life, I just want stuff that works well.

Can you open ticket again, I will issue you pro-refund (minus transaction fee).
I do feel sorry that it hasn’t worked out the way you needed and seems to be making your life hard :(

  • Thank you. I regard that as good customer service. I did ask for a refund after I ran the YABS, abut you pointed out I was outside the refund window, which I was, as I hadn't been quick to test. So I appreciate your change of position. Thanks again.

Yes, I do remember you asking for refund and yes it was outside of our refund windows (3 weeks) and I did point of about out AUP.

Anyway, Refund has been issued and hope you feel good.

Glad that worked out for you.

Fwiw, I think @RIYAD services are pretty solid. Also seems to be a host who is easy approachable.

He doesn't run cray promos to get the votes but realistic pricing nonetheless.

I can see 2 issues with them.

Hostforfun.... It doesn't sound professional and more like they are doing it just for fun and once novelty wears out, they will be found nowhere.

That's not may be true but from name, you can't help.

Secondly too many bumps very often. It loses the essence of scarcity.
