Managed BYOIP Anycast + Geo-routing to Hetzner — any recommendations?

imimimimimim Member

Hi all,

I have an IPv4 /24 and IPv6 /48 from ARIN, along with multiple Hetzner VPS instances in Ashburn VA, Hillsboro OR, Frankfurt and Singapore.

I'm looking to announce my ARIN blocks through a provider and have incoming traffic geo-routed to the nearest VPS — without building my own BGP infrastructure or dealing with colocation.

The provider would handle the announcement and forward traffic to my Hetzner backends, ideally for both IPv4 and IPv6.

I'm aware I could spin up VPS nodes with BGP session support (Vultr, BuyVM, etc.) and DIY it, but I'm specifically looking for a managed solution — think Cloudflare Magic Transit, but not enterprise-priced.

Hetzner unfortunately doesn't offer BGP sessions on their VPS/dedicated products — only on colocation, which isn't an option for me.

Any recommendations?

p.s. production-ready only — not looking for a hobbyist setup or a one-man operation.

In the low end space, I know of only X4B and Rage4 who support multiple tunnels, but I'm not sure that either support BYOIP.

Realistically, you're going to be looking at either a VPS solution from the providers on bgp.cheap and bgp.services with a network engineer to manage it for you, or a DDoS mitigation provider that will give you multiple tunnels (maybe GSL or Path?).

I think rage4 does anycast as a service? friendly people last we talked :)

BuyVM is also easy enough but I get wanting it hands off.

We can provide this, our portal is fully automated and you get the added benefit of DDoS mitigation baked in. It's all very automated as well, within a few clicks you can be alive and have anycast tunnels to the closest POPs off of us, alongside the ability to split prefixes, get automated attack notifications, see your traffic graph and more features baked in.

Send me or @wadhah a message, we can set you up with a free trial for 7 days, and will send you some screenshots of our portal as well in a message here.

How much do you charge for something like this?

Technically can be provided by any company that controls IP transit, but what is the reason? Do you need an anycast network(how many nodes), do you need DDOS protection? What is the rationale...

You'd have to open a ticket or DM with some specifics and we can price it out.

We will be adding support for such a setup within two weeks from now. Pricing will also be adjusted comparing to the one on our website. If you want to beta test it for us we can give you some extra discount

We run a hosting platform where end users map custom domains via A-records to our infrastructure, exposing our origin IPs (for apex domains).

So yes, we are thinking about migrating to a new anycast-based setup.

DDoS protection is not a current priority but will be of interest later.
