NameCrane/SmarterMail CalDAV
I have been trying for quite a while to add a calendar to my Android phone, via DAVx5, and am failing miserably. Yet, I added the same calendar (with same username and same password) to Thunderbird on my desktop computer within seconds.
DAVx5 says cannot find CalDAV service, etc.
Anyone got a solution to this, before I just give it up as a bad job?

Maybe app its problem.
I would say come drop by discord there is a few users using x5 I think? I know I’ve seen it discussed.
I haven’t tested it myself, I usually just tell people to use exchange.

Thanks for the reply, in addition to DAVx5, I've tried Exchange 'ad nauseum' and it just keeps failing. Unfortunately I don't do Discord.
This is mobile or on desktop? I think some EAS implementations require SRV DNS records, not just the autodiscover DNS.
You should be able to just specify the host for EAS and it'll be OK.
Failing that? PM me your domain and which node you're on and i'll check

actully android and not cheap.
I had no problem connecting DAVx5 on EU server.
I am using my own domain as server url like https://mail.multiisacooldude.com/webdav (you can find this url in smartersmail) and my normal mail login like [email protected]. Is 2fa enabled on your account? You might need to use an app password in this case.
Exchange is kinda weird with Namecrane. You will get a "wrong password" notification occasionally even though its correct. This is a bug due to Fran using a alternative integration of this protocol. Kinda annoying but it's working.
IDK about the bug, but yeah I confirm about this "wrong password" notification. I got it on my phone too. Using native Mail app from iOS.
No that’s from the OOM. It likely happens about once a week right? That’s zpush not able to connect for a minute or so. There’s some .NET ram tweaks I’m going to try soon so let’s see if that helps

Yes, and it came only when I open Setting, not that it just show up every now and then.
I must have been off school that day, when they taught that an application specific password would be needed!
I had suspected this to be the problem yesterday, but as I did not want 2FA on this particular account, I persevered. Eventually I gave in and enabled the 2FA and generated that new password - DAVx5 accepted without problem!
Thanks guys, for your responses.
