I know how the order and all that works, ie. the whole UI, but do you mean that after you receive the server it sometimes has better specifications than when placing the order, and therefore you can't see it anywhere - it's actually random? Because I am assuming you mean upgrade path == the configuration page?
That's the part I am confused about because it sounds like some users here know what has the best odds to "be upgraded".
yepp, that's what we call lottery upgrades here - and if you follow the LET community closely, you might learn where and when to expect some lottery upgrades, e.g. in flash sales or special models in special DCs and when and where you will not expect those.
plus: with OVH you might even see lottery downgrades but those are super-super-rare... (e.g. wrong hw description in a flash sale).
