Oh yes.
Corporations? No. It's mostly shitposters and cybercrime, tbh.
They realized they can't let the West keep one-upping them when it comes to UTS (Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance).
any idea when identification will start for foreign registrants of .RU domain?
Also is there any limit on having domains?
noone cares about the communists, we don't do business with them !
indeed, nor are the MIJJ's communists and the wars that USA and Israel started are also justified
That is also factually correct. Just the color of flags and names of political parties do not mean much, it is just normal capitalism in China too. And you'd better move on from the simplistic view that "communism" doesn't mean much by itself other than being a label for something evil.
I grew up in communism bro, so I have a vague idea of what im talking about
Really? So you grew up without any private property whatsoever? Or are you using a different definition of communism?
Bad for piracy groups.
ke?on?.su already gone.
No.
ru legalized piracy from western countries:
https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2022/03/russia-mulls-legalizing-software-piracy-as-its-cut-off-from-western-tech/
So, for example, if you run pub torrent tracker and there is no ru licensed work distributed (but others are) - they won't take down anything and you profit from piracy in full force.
or privacy lots of propaganda, censorship, if you talk about the regime you'd be punished, and so on... but what so ever I don't sent my money to such countries, but everyone is free to do whatever they want.
Then luckily (or unluckily) for you, you didn't grow up in communism, else you would have seen the withering of the state. Most likely, you lived in a dictatorship that lied about having communist ideals in order to gain support of the proletariat.
Not to mention, a communist country wouldn't even accept money, kind of by definition.
I'll take your money in return I can provide you with a no speech hosting service
I wonder which country was that, unless North Korea. Even USSR did not actually have communism, they only were "working" to attain it (by the year 2000 or something, kek), and later gave up, moving the goalposts closer to what they called "developed socialism".
The word your looking for is not communism, instead, it might be something that is characterized by support for a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.
And here's a helpful link so you can read more.
free speaks it s not allow
Even the DPRK isn't communist. They follow a related ideology called Juche.
Almost as if it's the polar opposite of the elimination of class, which is a communist ideal. 🤔
I thought the .su domains are untradable. Maybe it's time to let go...( I have 5 .su)
f###### my domain . i am non resident
What about movie sites with pirated movies from the West?
Many of them are currently using .ru domains.
Starting March 1, 2026, new Russian laws will allow the Ministry of Culture to ban foreign films (including Hollywood productions) that violate "traditional Russian spiritual and moral values" or that promote "non-traditional relationships".
In other words, many movies will be banned in Russia, and many major US studios no longer license their new films for release in Russia, so there is a copyright issue too.
They are illegal in several ways, but will they still be ignored by the Russian authorities because it is companies from "unfriendly countries" that loss money on the piracy?
It's a common problem for many states. USA restrict China equiepment and software, UK too, France want to off all Microsoft products. World more and more suverenised.
I think it should open before September 1, otherwise it will be a huge failure.
No limits on domain registrations or renewals.
I don't think that's the case, because as far as I know, you use Chinese-made products
sadly yes, but I stopped using TEMU and I try to order more EU made made products, but its very hard
Not only movies, but also books (except for those published before 1991) are banned. In addition, even if movies/books are not banned, they may still be censored, and there are already many examples of this.
Some well-known songs by Russian rock and pop artists have been edited, with words and expressions that are now subject to censorship removed. While this may seem strange, it is unfortunately a common occurrence, and in the UK for example (once a beacon of "classical democracy"), certain statements against Muslims can lead to criminal charges. While this may be a government policy and a blatant display of hypocrisy, there is currently nothing that individuals can do about it.
More KYC, more censorship, more control, more artificial intelligence discovering vulnerabilities, more hackers... I guess it's safe to assume the whole internet is going to 💩
Who wouldn't take your money?
Exactly. It's sad, but it's a current reality.
really? China is communist, you sure you don't do business with China? where are you from?
Add in all the wars currently going on and starting, and you can replace "Internet" with "world" there.
I thought Telegram was actually made by a Russian company. A lot of people I know have never trusted it for that reason.
No offense, but that doesn't seem any different to .ru.
After getting sick of manually blocking spam mail from several new .ru domains almost every day, I added
*@*.rutolocal_sender_blacklistand probably the amount of spam I got was cut by about 80% overnight.FWIW, I don't think I've ever had any spam from a .su domain.
