South Africa VPS with BGP and NAPAfrica Peering
in Requests
I'm looking for the cheapest bandwidth in South Africa for BGP peering on a VPS. It's for a non-profit to improve routing for users in West and Central Africa, so the IXP does matter and so does cost. I'm hoping to avoid coloing a router, but that may be the best option. Any ideas? I know Misaka would work, but they charge a lot for bandwidth, like $.05 per GB on overages.

@MAXKO_Hosting
Try contacting @Rackzar
They have 100G peering to NAPAfrica Cape Town and Johannesburg.
They have unmetered vps but no clue if they support BGP.
May be worth specifying how much traffic/bandwidth would you realistically need.
Right, like @mans_xd mentioned, @MAXKO_Hosting (maxko) does BGP in South Africa but not sure about the pricing. However I don't see them peering with NAPAfrica.
You could also ask @HostDoc from sitehub.agency. They are able to provide BGP session in Nigeria. They don't directly peer with NAPAfrica, but their upstream (workonline.africa) seems to be.
As others say we can easy handle BGP for you in South Africa. After you order a VPS in South Africa open a ticket with your details ASN, subnets and we will handle our part.
Vultr has a ZA location and peering with NAPAfrica as well.
SiteHub is actually my upstream in West Africa, they seem good. Thanks @HostDoc !
@Zappie ?
1 TB to start for testing, but I hope to increase significantly to about 10 TB as we get more users on the network.
