Good luck
I'm not the creator but just love to try new email. It ticks many boxes:
Still exploring but looks good so far.
Not off for a great start... The validation email went straight to spam folder.
But I liked the UI (just because I'm used to Gmail and don't mind that UI).
I wouldn't mind to have the option to split view horizontally tho...

It tries to stop you from using these names, but that doesn't stop me, though
Lol what...?! anyway I think it's still new with bugs. they will likely get back that account though.
On a side note, they should have created all those blocked usernames instead of "reserving" them 😂
Edit: You sure the support email links back to you? Because:

That they are using JavaScript to validate that, is reason enough to avoid them permanently.
Getting error messages when attempting to signup for a new account:
"Rate limit exceeded. Please try again later."
I wasn't going to judge but that's a hard one to pass by lol.
LLM coding tools love to put stuff like this in client-facing JS without direct prompts stating not to.
I got logged out and the websocket connection closed after saying:
{"type":"auth_error","message":"Server at capacity"}Yes. I can do outbound too

Looks like US based and no GDPR yet
a whole of corposlop wordsalad. email wont mix together with privacy mate
UX looks good. but signup was bit disaster. hope you fix it.
At least you got it.
It shows me Captcha verification failed when there weren't any captcha's to begin with, lol. (Edit: there was cloudflare but it had clicked off, maybe it was a glitch from their side which has gotten resolved)
That being said, @truemagic keep us updated on more email providers you find I suppose. I will try to sign up again but yea its giving issues.
Edit: it worked now. I have signed up.
lol. they might ban your account but did they not test their own prod website themselves first to get things like support and other important domains.
why the fk it keeps logging out every 2mins
I am just exploring their settings and it signed me out 3 times.
Yup the same has happened to me.
This seems one good email service. I honestly like it.
They say on github that they are open source but where is their code repo? https://github.com/orgs/Aster-Privacy/repositories
Well, they meant, we used open source code to ourselves...
They state that it is a beta release, and since the mail client for Mac hasn’t been released yet, I assume it’s their mail clients that are going to be open source.
It is a bit worrying that they want to release a two-factor authenticator app too when they make simple mistakes like this.
is it a honeypot?
yea think ill pass on this one for now thanks

When i read things like this i smell honeypot.
When the pitch reads like buzzword bingo instead of actual technical receipts, people are gonna side eye it hard.
How someone on the right mind will use client side validation. Keep distance.
It gave that skiff vibe. Skiff are also generous, attract plenty of users then sold to notion and close shop. Basically shitty bait and switch. I reg to this but not going to use it seriously yet.
Please respond to my support ticket, thanks.
