Interesting, last night's 3-4hr mess never stopped. It's still going on ~15hrs later. End times?

This finally stopped around 8am on the 5th and I saw none of the "normal" issues in the evening.

This morning I received an update on my ticket saying they'd resolved some issues affecting infrastructure over the weekend and to let them know if I experience any further issues.

I'll keep an eye but I'm interested to hear if connectivity issues in the other locations clear up as well.

After dealing with their support, and them blaming me for all the issues (quoting a few of their responses):

This is a server configuration issue that is not on our end.
Note that our Frankfurt cluster does not have any problems on the infrastructure level.

After complaining about 67% CPU steal (yes, you read it right)

Kindly note that your server is a VPS, which uses resources shared with other users in our infrastructure.

Its performance is heavily dependent on the usage of the total number of servers. Heavy usage from neighboring VPS instances can impact overall node performance, leading to slowdowns or instability.

To achieve improved performance without interference from shared infrastructure, we strongly recommend upgrading your product to a VDS, which utilizes dedicated resources.

They finally moved my VM to a different node:

As a precaution, we have moved you to a different node of the infrastructure

Check on your end if the issue persists on the new node.

In case the performance of the server is not sufficient, the recommended solution is to upgrade its resources or change to a Dedicated plan.

No one could guess when they moved me!

This will be the 5th evening clear of the nightly connectivity issues (going on for almost a month) in NYC that I'd originally complained about. I'm still curious if other locations have cleared up as well but I'm currently pleased that my NYC socks/vpn node is reliable again.

Looks like my London VPS lost network (again!) on the 11th; if previous instances are anything to go by, I'll get an answer on my ticket saying "we're escalating this" on Wednesday, it'll get autoclosed on Thursday and the network will miraculously reappear on Friday.

I get that it's cheap, but a VPS without a network isn't the most useful thing...
