got home at 10pm to relax after 7 hrs in the dc and immediately got paged for outage as soon as I touched the driveway, one of the machines on our kube cluster is down. 30 minute drive to the dc at midnight and 10 minutes in, i figure out the issue had to do with me removing the 7950x undervolt settings a few hours prior.
i turn the machine on and its still running hot, even on idle, so it must be an airflow issue cause everything sits at the top of the cabinet. well i dont have any blanking panels on hand, so the next best thing was a pos proliant xeon sitting in my car. i was able to build a wall out of it after removing the cover and zip-tieing it in place. i watched the temps and they sure as shit dropped, probably the dumbest smartest shit ive ever done.

Nice chicken MacGyver solution.
I love basement DCs. They're the best, because of passion.

This is a new way to mount a server

At least the LOGO is readable

May I suggest a rope next time??
PS:
Duck tape also works

Yet, I think your way is the best I have seen so far.
