Looking for USA West Dedicated Server High Performance (4TB+ NVMe)

Hey,

Looking for a dedicated server with these specs:
16+ cores (preferably AMD EPYC 4584PX) (will settle for anything around that) (only EPYC and Ryzen)
192GB RAM (DDR5)
1Gbps+ unmetered bandwidth
4-7TB+ NVMe

Location: USA West

Very much appreciated!

    Also:
Was looking at a similar setup on OVH: 24adv04-v2-us.ram-128g-on-die-ecc-3600.softraid-4x960nvme-pcie-gen4

Their Advance-4 server is ideal for me but it's not in stock for the US. Is there any resellers for that specific rig?

Currently it's not listed on our store, it will be added tomorrow.

We can do 1G unmetered only.

Additional Bandwidth will be $2 per 1TB and for bulk we can offer some discount.

ADV-4 is available in US West and US East if you upgrade to the cpu to AMD EPYC 4585PX but there is setup fee :/

Could be a good option but that setup fee is brutal sheesh. Do you/or anyone else know how often they restock those advance servers in the US West/East regions?

From my opinion for NA, OVH Canada usually gets stock a lot faster than US East or US West. The operation there is generally a lot bigger and more established. I think OVH kinda forgets about US West and US East because its a separate entity OVH US vs OVH EU/World.

Also what is your budget because the base ADV-4 don't meet your requirements. Upgrading the ram and storage is gonna cost a lot.

The specs I would have likely gone with:
    AMD EPYC 4584PX (16 core, 32 threads) at 4.2Ghz
    192GB DDR5
    4x 1.92TB NVMe

    Fine with spending around $300-500/mo

hmm, OVH has Scale-a1 available in US West and US East.
    EPYC Genoa 9124
    128GB DDR5
    2x960 NVMe SSD + additional 2x3.84TB NVMe
    5G unmetered
    Hillsboro, OR
    $615

Other than that I would highly recommend you look at other providers like GTHost with older EPYC.

    https://gthost.com/silicon-valley-amd-dedicated-servers
    https://gthost.com/phoenix-amd-dedicated-servers

Doing a google search, it seems like there are two other providers that have a dedicated server with that CPU.
    https://xlc.com/
    https://dataplugs.com

They both look to be Chinese owned with a focus on routes to China/Asia. Not sure how reliable they are but prices look pretty good.

If you manage to pick up the OVH ADV-4 that is a beast of a dedi just wait to be restocked

    Waittt
    Advance-5
    AMD EPYC 8224P - 24c/48t - 2.55GHz/3GHz
    Configuration
North America (US - West - Hillsboro)
    Memory
    192GB DDR5 ECC 4800MHz
    Storage
4× 960GB SSD NVMe Soft RAID
    +$50.00
    Bandwidth
    3Gbit/s unmetered and guaranteed
    included
    vRack
    25Gbit/s unmetered and guaranteed
    included
    $500/m

So close just missing the full 4tb

Hahah this was what I was going for but unfortunately not enough storage. Would have to do the 4x 3.84 TB SSD NVMe Soft RAID which brings it to $679.00.

I may just wait for ADV-4, just unsure how long I'd be waiting. I have monitoring setup for the API to alert me as soon as it becomes available but it's been silent for the past 10 days.

It looks like you can't get ADV-4 configured with 192GB Ram. Looks to be unavailable in EU too. I'm guessing they ran out of 48GB dimms

Do you think this is something I can wait for to be restocked? Or do you think they've just completely stopped providing ADV-4 with 192GB

With ram prices still being expensive and OVH CEO stated they buy servers barebones with no ram, its gonna be super low chance of them restocking and buying more 48gb ram.

Not for the US locations. There are resellers for EU regions but no US as far as I've seen. Even with EU resellers, I doubt they would have the exact config needed. Also even if someone has one in the US, the server can't be transferred. I guess at this point, configuring a ADV-5 dedi might really be your only option or look at other providers with different EPYC models. Also depending on what you are using it for, maybe get multiple smaller dedi and vRack them together.

Fair enough. It's for a single Clickhouse node hence the DDR5 & NVMe. I'll keep looking around.

Make sure to run hardware tests before production use. Their Ryzen/Epyc CPUs typically peg at the max spec temperature for those CPUs (90-95c), so they may need to fix cooling after delivery.
