Just cancel some idle VPS and keep it. As log as this machine is reliable I would keep it. I've got a dedi from HostDZire 2025 sale, ~8.30€ per month for equal hardware, its only purpose is to download Linux ISOs and upload them to my storage VPS. No traffic / too much CPU usage headache, all the freedom I need. Its a no brainer for me.

LET offers have been reaching $20+/yr for a 1c1g VPS recently so I'm not letting any compute go right now. I don't believe in idling for the sake of it, but I've got to hedge against unreasonable price hikes from providers so unless it's absolute trash I'm keeping it until the market normalizes again.
