LF - Lifetime Storage

Pcloud Icedrive etc

Either existing deals, or transfers of plans someone may not want.

Fully understand nature of these services, it's none critical data but if they last even 1 year, i'll save money :)

NameCrane still had lifetime offers last I checked. They're only company I actually trust with lifetime deals, and they have a solid strategy to make them sustainable.

Can you please elaborate on this? If they last more than 1 year/1year, then you are better off using any storage vps or something.

Think of it this way, an 1TB lifetime would cost I dont know atleast I expect around 100-200$ (I am not within this market)

Whereas, 1TB storage server can cost less

If you want Lifetime storage though, I kind of recommend telegram if your content is small

Or just have a small homelab and buy your own maybe evne junky hard drives and then connect them to backblaze personal cloud backup for a fixed payment every month and you can stack as many terabytes and pay only a considerable fixed amount.

Koofr lifetime is by far the best of the cloud storage lifetime options IMO, i believe it should still be available via Stacksocial

I'm trying to save, I understand lifetime deals may fall through, but as long as its decently reputable place, it's going to last a minimum of 1 year i'll take no loss, anything more will be a benefit to me.

I don't want to manage a VPS, I don't want the hassle finding deals, KYC with provider, etc etc not to mention most cloud is redundant i'm aware that's in the cost. It's for a set and forget collection of files.

    Ideally 5TB+

if the files are images and videos, you should try to get yourself a google pixel 1 which gives unlimited storage

For 5Tb, I feel like, telegram can be another good option.

Very interesting, it's mainly music, photos and videos so ticks 2/3 and I could just modify the mp3/flac to video before it uploads can I pick your brain a little more about this?

Would there be any bottlenecks, if I was to have this on a good network they truly mean unlimited for life? seems to good to be true as if it works with second hand device it'll be the bargain of the year. Appreciate you letting me know i'm heavily looking into it at the moment.

The current lifetime at MXRoute is not really a good deal.
They had not long ago the $20/Biennially, that would be 25 years to get to the cost of the lifetime.

Was going to suggest this. In case it’s not obvious, it’s via the email service. Can buy lifetime plan in 250GB increments. They allow you to use the storage associated with your mail plan with (s)ftp/rclone. Product page shows up to 500GB, but you can increase that at the same rate of $75 per 250GB.

    Never though about that option.

I have the 250Gb lifetime, barely scrapping the surface with email, might rclone some encrypted backup as well

There are a few options. This list is not a ranking from best to worst.

    1. Zap-hosting

Offers a lifetime VPS with nvme storage.

The catch is that you must log in at least once every three months (last I checked). However, they send reminders, and there’s a grace period if you exceed the three-month limit.

    https://zap-hosting.com/en/shop/product/lifetime-vps

    Base server: $82.49 USD

    Add each storage upgrade:

    25 GB (included) → $82.49
    50 GB → $106.94
    100 GB → $119.87
    200 GB → $145.72
    300 GB → $171.59
    400 GB → $197.45
    500 GB → $223.31
    600 GB → $249.17
    700 GB → $275.03
    800 GB → $300.90
    900 GB → $326.76
    1000 GB → $352.62
    1500 GB → $481.86
    2000 GB → $611.10

    Its still upgradeable after purchase.

    1. Koofr 1TB lifetime plan available at Stacksocial.

    https://www.stacksocial.com/sales/koofr-cloud-storage-plans-lifetime-subscription-1tb

I have it, and they work pretty well. Servers are located in the EU i think, cause speeds are somewhat meh from NA at least according to my experience.
One catch is you can’t change your registered email after registration, even if you ask support, so keep that in mind.

    1. pCloud lifetime

It works pretty well. There have been some cases of peoples accounts getting banned, but tbh im not 100% sure. It seems to be fine for 99% of people. You can look more into it on reddit.

    https://www.pcloud.com/cloud-storage-pricing-plans.html

    1. Namecrane lifetime

    https://namecrane.com/

Works pretty well, and ran by a competent team. Would highly recommend 👍

    1. rsync.net lifetime promo (probably one of the best options besides namecrane imo)

    https://rsync.net/signup/order.html

1tb for around $500 special going on at the moment.

They’ve existed since 2001, and are pretty solid.
They also offer unlimited support via phone and email which is cool

    1. Icedrive

    https://icedrive.net/lifetime-plans

(personally I wouldn’t buy this one)

    1. Internxt lifetime

    https://internxt.com/lifetime

Used to be absolutely shit, but they seem to have gotten much better recently. If memory serves correctly, older lifetime customers got fucked over, and their speeds are still really slow for some reason. So if you buy them, just know they may not provide you with critical future updates. You can look more into it on reddit

FYI you might find more lifetime plans on https://stacksocial.com that appear to be good deals, but they’re almost always terrible. Only a few select providers on Stacksocial are considered good.

Sonic is the go-to guy if you want to ask anything about lifetime deals, I saw his comments within the lifetime thread deal, bro knows about lifetime deals.

These companies will do price hikes without any notice. Send you surprise bills (internxt, pcloud did with me) for extra bandwidth usage. But somes don't you have to choose wisely.

I would say NameCrane or rsync.net are the most likely not to screw you over.

FYI they block access to rclone, cli, webdav, etc on lifetime. You must use their shit client
