[Request] Baltics / Sweden | 1-2GB RAM | 10TB+ BW | Premium routing to RU (RETN/Rascom/DATAIX)

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a reliable VPS for a personal proxy setup. My target budget is around €5 - €7 / month (willing to go up to €10/mo for a perfect network match).

Target Locations (Strict):

Baltics (Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia)

Sweden
(Not looking for NL or DE right now, optimizing for the lowest possible latency to RU)

Required Specs:

1 or 2 vCPU

1GB or 2GB RAM

~20 GB NVMe

Port: up to 1 Gbps

Bandwidth: 10 TB+ (This is a hard requirement, please do not offer standard 1-2 TB plans)

Clean IPv4 (No blacklists or abuses)

Network Requirements (Crucial):
I need excellent, low-latency connectivity to Russia (Moscow / St. Petersburg).
I am specifically looking for providers with upstream mixes that include RETN, Rascom, Arelion, or direct peering via DATAIX / GlobalNet.
Please do not offer networks heavily reliant on single-homed Cogent or HE for this routing.

Providers: Please include a Looking Glass link or a Test IP in your offer/PM so I can run MTRs before purchasing.

I prefer to start with a monthly billing cycle to thoroughly test the network to RU. If the routing performs as expected, I am completely open to upgrading to semi-annual or annual billing later to secure the right price/bandwidth allocation.

Thanks!

If you consider northern Poland (not far from Lithuania or Sweden), take a look at strike.bz (@3K33 ) in Gdańsk.
    They have RETN upstream.

    Looking Glass: https://lg-pl.strike.bz
globalping test: Moscow / St. Petersburg
The latency could be as low as 25ms, depending on the source network.

Their plans start at 4 eur/mo for unmetered 1Gbps link (10TB should be within fair use):

    Hey,
Yeah, 10TB is no issues :)
Our upstream did peer on DataIX, but I have stopped announcing there, from my tests latency was way lower if it was going via RETN.

    Thanks for the mention!

    From the OG thread: https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/3988084/#Comment_3988084
I usually mention 75/100TB FUP. If you constantly push 100TB a month you'll most likely get asked to upgrade, however.
And realistically unless your server acts as a raw TCP/UDP reverse proxy, I'm not sure how you can push 100TB without using 24/7 100% CPU which is, obviously, not fair use as this is a shared cores VPS.

We peer directly with DATAIX/GNM and are also present on GNM-IX EAST (their Russia equivalent).
Check out our EPYC or Ryzen plans in Vienna: https://evolushost.com/vps/epyc

You can try pinging from your source IP here, or download the test file to check your download speeds:
    https://lg.as215120.net/

By default, the lowest €3.99 plan includes 3 TB of traffic. You can upgrade to 15 TB (or more) for €2.50–€3.00 depending on the plan during checkout.

    @kabarxx

AlexHost Sweden traffic is throttled by RKN sadly (or i got unlucky with ip). LG glass worked fine, but the server itself didnt. I could ssh but couldnt connect to it via proxy.

Strike Bz is good, but their website is hosted on Hetzner making it a bit difficult to access (RKN throttles Hetzner). Their servers in Poland are apparently in some kind of block list on some providers, ER-Telecom for example blocks the IP based on traffic (some form of heuristic or smth), blocks last 5-10mins. But MTS works fine.

  • HostSlim is a no-go, had issues with payment processing. When it got resolved and I got server provisioned it was unresponsive. I couldnt connect via ssh, pings timed out, vnc did not work. And their support still did not resolve this.

Have you found a suitable supplier yet? I'm also searching with similar criteria to yours.

Something doesn't feel entirely right about this request to me. What use do you have in mind, that you need both 10 TB, and ultra-low latency?

Maybe you can find that unicorn, paying upwards to 10 EUR, but eh.

Typically one can separate their "bulk" usage from their "latency" one, such as torrent through one VPS (or even just get a seedbox/dedi/storage box with allowed torrents!), game through another. And the latter could even have 500 GB bw or less.

YouTube and such, general browsing, work splendidly no matter where it's located in Europe. Just make sure that the particular route or peering is not overloaded, e.g. good luck if you're on MTS and anything goes via AMS-IX.

    My 2 kopecks!
